Try and pick it up from the Depot at the end of the day or let them try and re-deliver it the following day? They don't always allow all options on expensive items for obvious reasons.

I was told I should aim to get to the store for a few minutes before the start of my 'window' and speak to one of the concierge staff. He said there might be a small line for pre-order pickups but he wasn't sure as it wasn't confirmed yet - this was last Thursday.
The earliest I can get to store is 9.15 depending on traffic so we'll see.
Been told by
- 2 o2 service advisors on the phone my phone (8 Plus, space Grey) IS coming tomorrow.
- 1 who said ISN’T .
- and DPD have said it also ISN’T coming tomorrow.
O2 says “in progress” with tracking details.
DPD (o2 site says ‘Parceline’) says it has my order details and is expecting my parcel shortly.
I can’t cancel the order until it arrives and no one can tell me when that is!
So who knows what will happen tomorrow.

I don’t usually use them but this year I got the Belkin one that Apple fit with a special machine. It’s a perfect fit and I don’t notice it at all. So I’m going to get one again this year on my X.
Oh dear, and there I was basing the fact that pre-order was a doddle that launch day would be quiet.. So me getting there 15 mins into my window feels like I will be there ages
I remember 6 launch day - popped down there at about 8am saw the queue snaking out of the new shopping centre and reaching back to the old one. Went home, and reserved one the next morning for pickup that day with no lines at all...
Ditto, love that but I am worrying they will not do that straight away as it took them a while to even be doing it now

6 launch day had reservations queue and a buy on the day queue... I was made to stand in the reservations queue the day after... On my own... outside the shop.. Utter nonsense...
I *think* that’s a standard output mains charger, not a fast charger.
I’m not 100%, I’ll take another look.

64gb Space Grey iPhone 8+ coming tomorrow from Vodafone, which is great because I was advised it would come a week late.
I've had my iPhone 6 for 3 years now so thought it was time to update, although really for my usage pattern I could probably get another year out of it.
First time with a plus model too, so we'll see how that goes!

In the last few moments this has been updated on the DPD website with a delivery date of tomorrow. Phew.
I have cancelled my 8+ reservation. 2 reasons my 6S+ has been rejuvenated somewhat by iOS 11. Secondly, I just think the 8+ is going to be too heavy for me. I know I will need to upgrade in the next two or three months because of my phone’s battery issues but I want more time to consider such a costly decision as I might regret a quick choice.
I got the Belkin one fitted to my 7 Plus in the Apple Store when I picked it up. I’m going to go without one this year. My wife has thrown her 6s in her handbag with keys etc the last 2 years and it’s held up fine

I have 2 time slots.
9-9.30 for my iPhone & 10-10.30 for my Apple watch (ordered a day after the phone as the 38 was too small so swapped for a 42) If it's super busy at 9.15 I'll go grab some food and go back at 10. I'm in no rush but I don't want to stand in line. lol
