This is exactly what I am currently enduring and a pink 5c to boot...
Sold my 7+ a week before the keynote. Was hoping that I wouldn't be waiting this long and thats assuming that I manage to get one of the first batch of X's...
October is going to feel like a long month, passing time by looking at cases, chargers, screen protectors etc for the X on amazon.
If I have any money spare at the end of this will see if I can get away with buying an Apple Watch as well.

Oooo I LOVE how much smaller than the 7plus it looks! Roll on end of October/November/December/Whenever I can get my hands on one!New iPhone x case has arrived. Can’t believe how small the case feels. Wouldn’t think it’s 5.8 inch
Holding the case it just feels weird holding a case and thinking it’s still a 5.8 inch device. Can reach the top of the screen with ease. It really does feel like a regular iPhone 8 case.Posted by mistake but can’t see how to delete a post!

Yeah, Envirofone have revised my offer of £187 for my 6 down to £49 because of a 'Discoloured / Shaded Area on LCD' which is not in the least bit noticeable to the naked eye and believe me, I'd notice. They'd no doubt have failed to mention this 'defect' when reselling it, I bet
They emailed asking me to ring to discuss the offer and arrange the return my phone. Wonder if they're going to offer me a bit more out of the goodness of their heart?

My experience has been the exact opposite. I posted mine off yesterday and the full amount they offered me for the phone was in my account by 4.30pm today
Only going to get worse by the end of next month.
The envirofone offer for my 7+ is already £60 less than just before you the keynote.
The missus is getting mine this year so luckily not a worry for me this year.
so guys for those doing the upgrade program say we pick the phone up on the 3rd november do you think apple will change the release date going forward as surely those on the upgrade program wouldn't be able to upgrade to the 2018 iphone until october? how would this work?
I doubt anything will change. There will be new phones in September 2018 maybe the lower end LCD model and then an S iteration to the X. Those I say will launch in same month. There will also be a larger variant of the X which will probably ship later*
IUP is touted as ‘get a new phone ever year’ rather than get a new phone the day a new model comes out. Those on IUP will have to wait until they’re eligible for an upgrade.
Not that I’ve read this anywhere in the terms but people ‘could’ Pay off the remaining balance to Barclays by selling their handset privately and then starting afresh? I’ll do some checking on that when I get a chance.

Just been in to have a look at the 8s to see which colour would look best on the X. I was leaning towards Silver but it looks like more of an off white than anything else. Still nice but maybe be Space Grey is the way to go for me... we’ve got a while left to decide though!
You can upgrade only after having made 11 months payments, so either make the extra payments manually or do so at the Apple store at the time of upgrade. Documented.
I don't think I could manage with 64gb as currently on 256 and my 128 6s before that was full to the brim. Most of my storage taken up in photos. I would consider a clear out to drop to 128 and save money but since that isn't an option on the X there is no point.
Stupid question to ask but this will probably be my first actually preordering an iPhone from apples website. Am I right to assume that both the US and UK have their own amount of quantity available for the iPhone X seeing as the US will be able to preorder the X at 12:01am and for us it’ll be 8:01am? The plan is to preorder the second it’s available on Apple’s website/app.
Nope, US get preorders first, whereas we wait until 8am? That’s why I was a bit confused but as long it’s available for me then I’ll be happy
