i got my iphone 7 plus on the Iphone upgrade programme.. going to be interesting to see how it pans out. from what i saw there were some problems for people in the US doing their upgrade last year.

just a quick random question that i can't see an immediate answer for on google. with the IUP do you also need to return the box and it's contents or just the phone?

Just the phone

Always buy my phones new directly from Apple and must be in the minoroty of not needing masses of space. I have 40gb free on my 64gb 6s.

I'm also not prepared to spend more than £650 on a phone. I don't care what it looks like or does.

So, whatever storage the base model has of the 7s is what I'll be going for.

One of the few comments I’ve seen for someone wanting the 7s. Your comment above suggests it’s going to be a cost factor that dictates what you get. What’s driving you towards the 7s over the 7 if that costed in?

Working off a £1149 - Sold my ip7+ on Envirofone for £477, so about another additional £672.

Looking forward to the keynote next Tuesday, I'm going to be like a child at Christmas :D

I will be getting the iPhone 8, either 64GB or 256GB probably the 256GB if it's only £100 more, also like the look of the "Blush Gold" but i will wait and see what the keynote holds. Does anyone think there will be any surprises that we haven't seen yet regarding the new iPhone's?

Thank you for acknowledging the ‘iPhone 8’ won’t be called the iPhone 8. Anyway, pricing will be interesting given that they don’t really have a guideline for it themselves.

Tuesday Evening Plans

Order PapaJohns Pizza

Watch
6pm - Apple Event
7.45 pm - Champions league

Gonna be a lit night boys!

I’m not going to be able to watch it live until the damn kids are asleep and I can’t be disturbed! I’ll be off this forum and not updating the first post until I’ve seen it in the evening

It won't be called the 8? I'm hoping it will be called the Edition, I like that name.

I was going to create this thread but held back because I didn't want to have to change the title later.

yeah, but the thing is, it depends on whether this is a yearly thing or just a one off thing. If Apple plans to release 3 variants of iPhone each year, then the Edition name makes sense. If it's just a one-off phone, then X or Anniversary Edition makes sense.

Yes it's about cost but not because I can't afford it. Because I could never bring myself to spend £1000+ on a phone. I literally couldn't care less what it does or how it looks. For me, there is no justifying the £1000 price tag. I genuinely couldn't think of a single feature or look that would make me think any phone was worth a grand.

Why the 7s over the 7? Because I'm on the S upgrade. Which I like being on.

No judgement on affordability or not from me here! Just curious because there are two distinctly different models coming and interested to see what people are thinking about the s models this year.

The ~£1000 is steep, was nearly there last year with the 7+ 128gb.

Unless there is something massively different next year I think I’ll be keeping this one for 2 years this time. (Don’t quote me on that in 12 months times )

If someone finds out what the deal is for iUP customers this year, please make a thread about it. Last year was an absolute nightmare with all reservation stock gone before iUP customers even found the right page to reserve. Hopefully Apple will make in-store stock iUP-only at first.
