Standard 1 year warranty, unless you purchase AppleCare+
[doublepost=1505229392][/doublepost]

Now that’s a promotion he got!

Vodafone are now doing 2 year warranties on phones brought through them.

All Apple devices purchased from Vodafone now come with an extended 24-month warranty at no extra cost – and we’re the only mobile network to give you this

Our extended 24-month warranty does not affect your statutory rights.

Nope, regardless of what apple tell you, by EU LAW they have to give us 2 years.

They'll play dumb until you ask to see the manager.

1 more hour and I'm enforcing radio silence for the rest of the night

5:55pm - disable notifications, don't look at phone, avoid the news

7:45pm - watch the footie

9.45pm - get the missus out the way so I can watch the keynote uninterrupted

11.45pm - catchup on forums and the 700 new posts i'd have missed

1.00am - regret not going to bed and face the prospect of 5 hours sleep

...I'm betting my iPhone 8 that you'll find out all the details by halftime!!!

If the 8 is £550ish or less, I'll preorder on Fri.

Lol why would iPhone 8 32GB cost less than iPhone 7 32GB, Apple doesn't reduce prices like that. The iPhone 8 32GB will cost the same as iPhone 7 32GB, if not more, which is £599. That's the starting price of new iPhones.

But that 2nd year would be repair/replacement via Voda and not Apple I guess.

Mine will be.

18:00 - finish work and drive home
18:30 - get home and try to use my phone or laptop
18:31 - wife and/or daughter nag me to get off the phone
18:32 - use the phone or laptop anyway
18:33 - pretend it's for no reason at all whilst keeping a calm poker like face
18:34 - 01:00am try and justify purchasing said iPhone X sooner rather than later lol

Yeah you are right but hey it's still good though in my opinion for no outlay.

When I buy a device from Vodafone, how long does the warranty last?
Except for Apple products, all devices come with a standard 24-month manufacturer’s warranty. If you’re a Pay monthly or Business customer, this applies whatever the length or type of your contract. If you’re a Pay as you go customer, your warranty starts on the day you buy your device.

You also get a 12-month warranty on all the accessories that are in the box when you buy your device.

Apple products
Apple's limited hardware warranty on iPhone and iPad is 12 months from the date of purchase. But unlike other networks, we’ll be providing an extended 24-month warranty on all Apple devices from 1 August 2017. So if your device develops a manufacturing fault between months 13–24 we’ll repair it for you at no extra cost.

This extended warranty applies to all new Apple devices bought directly from us in store, over the phone or through vodafone.co.uk. Existing customers with Apple devices bought within the last two years will also benefit, with the warranty covering your device from 1 August 2017 until the end of 24 months. So, for example, if you bought your iPhone on 1 June 2016, the warranty will cover you for 10 more months from 1 August 2017 to 1 June 2018.

Not sure but at least it's a bit more peace of mind

Agreed.

18:00 - Settle down to watch event
18:01 to 19:59 - Tell the missus and kids to KEEP QUIET
20:00 - Back on here

No decent teams playing until tomorrow

O2 did insurance for free on their higher tariffs, which was probably the same thing.

doesn't the second year only cover defects which were present at the point of sale? that can be a difficult thing to establish

Time is slowing down in these final hours.

sure is! even 9to5 mac are trying to kill time by running polls asking if people think AirPods will be bundled with the iPhone X!

If the iPhone X really starts from £949 for 64gb or so do you think Apple would bundle free iCloud storage to make up for it?

Apple doesn't have to do anything to entice buyers. There's already **** ton of people waiting to buy the X and it will be back ordered literally as soon as it becomes available for pre order.

Can't believe its taken me 10 years to get an iPhone lol
what's taken you so long?
[doublepost=1505231681][/doublepost]ah gone are the mornings before the keynote when all the final leaks usually happen..

Since Tim said they've needed to double down on security, each launch leaks more and more much earlier

what's taken you so long?
Not sure really, always been on android but had ios devices like the iPod touch and iPad to quench my Apple needs. Got a macbook pro now though so thought I might as well make the plunge

Just finished work. Won't be home until about 6:30, but will watch the beginning part of the keynote on my phone whilst on the train. Will get home about 18:30 and will tune in on my Apple TV. So excited!!

Waiting to see pricing before deciding to buy. I'm currently on a 7 plus 256gb and am still really happy with it. I have locked in £500 with envifone incase I want to upgrade. Let's see what you've got Apple..

I'm on the 7plus 256gb aswell mate. Not had any issues with it.
