Just got off the phone with EE and they have said people ordering on Friday that customers are set to ring up at 6.30am so they are first in line via phone to get the iPhone x and bare in mind the phone lines don't open until 8am.
Even the website she said is going to be slow and manic..
This is going to be a nightmare to order with EE or any carrier for the reasons I've mentioned.

I wont be getting it on launch day this year. I'm in Barcelona from next week and tbh, I can wait. Early October is when I can officially upgrade. If I have to wait a little for the phone, so be it. I'll be content as long as the monthly £ hit is viable and doesn't leave me feeling dirty. iphone X, 256Gb - let's see what you got baby.
I like it that the iphone 7 still has the "new" designator underneith it on the day the next model is demonstrated and weeks before it is available. This designator is misleading to people shopping at apple that dont know the release cycle. The iphone 7 is the newest but no longer new.
News flash! iphone 8 will be $2000 and the lightning cord $500 (no charger in the box)

Does anyone know when Three normally starts a preorder on new iPhones after announcement? or Does it vary per release :/

All carriers start taking pre orders the same day as Apple, so that will be on or after 8am UK time this Friday.
