Yes

But apparently Lloyds have a limit of £100 for safety reasons, hence transaction being declined after 3 days...

I’ve paid for my dental treatment which was over £100 with Lloyds via Apple Pay, but wasn’t blocked...

Silly Lloyds.

Yes mate it doesn't make sense as I paid for more before at TKMaxx and had no issues.
So either they are messing me about or they have changed the limit recently.
But there is many more people having problems so its not only me

Times like these where Apple Pay is embarrassing

Any EE pre-orderers had any sort of order confirmation yet? All my order shows is ‘awaiting confirmation’.

my story goes link this
ordered 256 Black 08:04 using apple pay in safari on iphone, Nov 3rd
ordered 256 White 08;05 using apple pay in safari on iphone Nov 13-20th
08:17 got a message saying apple pay declined,

my 2nd order hasn't been declined yet!!
yesterday i finally managed to change my payment option through phoning apple, i used a different CC from another bank
i expect the 2nd white phone to be declined, because if it goes through the WTF did the 1st one get declined

anyway my 1st black iphone is preparing for dispatch, I wont actually get the phone until 1st week in December as I'm working in Outer Mongolia

I had, but I’m not hearing any declines through Apple Pay and AmEx combination, only a select few others: Barclaycard being the most prominent.

They’ve already authorised it, as I can see the hold.

Same here. Apple Pay and AmEx shows authorised and funds holding.

For what it's worth, I've also ordered with AMEX/Apple Pay, but my delivery is still showing as 13/11-20/11.

In terms of cancellations, I ordered a iPad Pro 4 weeks ago via the same method and had no issues with Amex or Apple Pay

I'm pretty sure the issues are related to certain banks and their limits with apple pay.
I wasn't aware of any limit with lloyds until last night when they told me it's £100 and cannot be raised.

I find AmEx to be good with large amounts, generally.

I just pay it off two days before the bill is due.

Also u don't mind the limit, very rarely use more than £100 anyway.
But in this one occasion when really needed it and time is very important it let me down.
So pissed off.
I was just so worried they will cancel my order yesterday and I would have to wait several weeks rather than collecting this friday lol
And All this few hours after I sold my iphone 8 yesterday...

Call Apple up and use the card directly. It should be fine

I genuinely think most carriers / banks etc don’t know real reasons for the issues and just speculate most of the time.

Imagine how much load is put on their systems for payment processing etc.

It seems Barclays have been particularly bad on this front!

Has anyone else ordered with a capital one credit card? I did and money seemed to be taken immediately. Fingers crossed I don’t get a declined dropped on me

Hmm... reckon this might affect my ability to take out a new loan on Friday? Has anyone ever heard of anyone getting declined? I have a good credit score, just worried this will hit it.

lloyds do not have an Apple Pay limit - they’re fobbing you off with that

Well that's what I thought as I paid more than £100 before.
But why would they tell me it's apple pay rather than just process the payment?
They said the system is declining payment with info - no sufficient founds - and a note its related to apple pay limit.

Will be on a phone to apple in 40 minutes trying to pay over the phone. Have two different cards ready to go lol

Pre-ordered an X, got an email last night that my (Apple Pay) payment was declined by NatWest. Just called NatWest to get my card unblocked (again again again. This is a recurring issue for me, they seem to think my online spending habits are fraud every few months), but I can't get the transaction to re-authorise through apple.com, so I guess I'm calling Apple at 8am. grrrrr banks.

Edit: Called Apple, lovely chap helped me out and I'm all set for Friday pickup :D

Exactly same issues as mine
So its not Lloyds fobbing me off really as I tried several different cards. It is something to do with apple failing on us.

X 256 SG, ordered via Store App. Got on 8.03ish confirmation email 8.04. Delivery for Friday. Can’t believe my luck.

Paid with Apple Pay linked to Natwest and so far all has gone smoothly. Money is still held on account, available balance has dropped but normal balance same but it normally takes two or three days for card transactions to appear. Preparing for Dispatch status at Apple.

Not seen many people mention Natwest so is that a good sign?

Wish you all the greatest luck, last year I had problems and somehow my order bounced itself ahead by the skin of its teeth. Small excited child at Christmas waiting for his presents. Wish someone between Apple and these banks would write a document detailing the limits, ie is Apple Pay really unlimited or do the banks impose their own limits rather than this being such a voyage of discovery for everyone.

For those of you in the U.K. do what I did last year. Because Apple delivers through DPD it’s best to download their app from the App Store and update your address in the details. It’ll automatically update if there is a delivery for your address so then you have a clear indication of delivery times. I did this for my vodafone last year and it worked wonderfully.

Hmmmm, normally I have UK mail but if that's changed since I last ordered for delivery fair enough.

Lloyd’s are fobbing you off by saying there’s a limit.

It’s an issue at apples end I believe, on preorder day by delivery order payment declined, I couldn’t reauthorize immediately, went back an hour later and clicked the top button “reauthorise same card details” and it worked perfectly.

My Apple Pay was initially not authorised on Friday morning, though it declined after my order completed. After Apple allowed orders to be amended on their website after a few hours I was able to re-submit my Apple Pay attempt, and it was accepted on my second attempt. My card company has since confirmed they’ve authorised the payment. Barclaycard clearly don’t have an Apple Pay limit. Was it a fraud block? I’m not sure, but I was able to resubmit Apple Pay and have it accepted over an hour before they responded to my message about it, and they didn’t say they’d lifted a fraud block. I’m going with Apple themselves being the issue.

I have a delivery date of 13-20 Nov, but I’m tempted to go to the Brighton Apple Store in Friday to try and get one as a walk in customer. The store is in a shopping mall, what do people think the busyness will be like? It’s not like people can queue by the store over night and there’s so many entrances if I get there early then surely I stand a good chance?
