Reckon there’s any chance of an iUP collection “arrive By 18th Nov” could get pushed forwards? I got shafted by the looping “reservation today” screen on the iPad app and had to switch to a browser.

Thanks

Assuming your EE 8+ is a contract? If so, are you aware of the T&C’s which state you are not allowed to sell the phone in the first 6 months?

LOL so what? I am going to sell it. I am still using the great value contract I have (40% friends discount so I get 100GB for £42pm). I don't care about the T&C and honestly do you think anyone at EE would care as long as they get their money? I don't.

In the words of Ray Croc - "Contracts are like hearts, made to be broken..." (Look it up if you don't get it).

If they detect that your SIM is not being used in an iPhone that they sold you then you could end up in trouble. They have access to your SIM details and your phone's IMEI number, it's pretty easy to compare.

just tried to update it online - authorization failed! my bank said its apple. i will have to call them asap

When I ordered my Hermes AW3 I had my Apple Pay declined. I had enough money - so I tried it again, and again through the online order system. Santander told me it was fine. No reason to be declined. Apple told me it was down to the bank. They tried it manually and it didn't work.

In the end I moved the money to another account and used the debit card for that account - and it was still declined. So called Nationwide - no problem with their end - eventually after literally trying it myself 7 times it worked.

I guess the thing is just keep trying. And hope that if its doesn't work and you need to leave it for an hour or so it doesn't delay your order. And to be fair I think with in store pick up it won't - I am sure those phones are pre-allocated to the store and will be there in store for you waiting so as long as you pay before your order is cancelled (10 days) you will have that phone allocated from stock. However delivery to home is different as Apple won't ship it until its paid for and several hours could push your order from Friday to the next week.

I literally change phones and SIMs every month (I have a Note 8, 8 Plus and will have an X on Friday and an Pixel XL2 the week after; and I have even used my phone data SIM in my iPad and never had an issue) so I have never had any issue. I don't expect one and it doesn't concern me at all. Is what I am doing naughty? sure. Do I care? No.

Thanks for the insight however :)

Wanted to get the Apple Silicone case, but the fact that the case doesn't have protection for the bottom lip put me off getting it. Don't understand why 3rd-party case makers are able to do so but not Apple (while ensuring that it can be plugged into the Apple dock connectors etc.)

Yeah I don't really like this about the Apple cases. I picked up a barely used leather one very cheaply in CEX for my 6s+ and after a couple of years the phone has a couple of scuffs and a small dent on the bottom edge. Was quite annoyed when I noticed the scuffs because the phone was in excellent condition otherwise but one day I noticed scratches all over the screen.. since then I've not cared too much. Of course if I was more careful this wouldn't be a problem. Looking forward to the size of the X, which I hopefully won't drop as much!

ah OK thanks!
Fortunately for me it's instore pickup so like you said - my order shouldn't be delayed

If I try too many times online- will it cancel my order?

Someone must have hacked your account the other night.

In the same thread the guy who hacked your account said it was against your morals to finance a phone instead of paying cash. Hopefully you changed your password.
Yes I was unfortunately hacked. I contacted admin and had the thread put in wasteland and they're investigating my IP logs.

I had a similar misshap with Apple pay, I called apple and used a different card, and my X is now preparing for shipping Nov 3rd arrival, call Apple and if possible use another payment option
[doublepost=1509338905][/doublepost]Anyone else seeing this, my confirmation email was 08:05, so maybe order was 03-04, I used Apple pay

I've ordered mine Friday
Got email from apple yesterday saying payment declined.

Called my bank Lloyds and been told it's due to payment being processed as Apple Pay which is limited to £100 in lloyds...
So now when I'm trying to use any other card, payment is still processed as apple pay and therefore declined. I tried mine my wife's and even my mates cards. All declined.
What a joke, if they know there is a limit why they even offer to pay using apple pay, and why there was no info about payment problems for 3 days.
Need to call apple in 2h when they open and sort it out.

A question many people will have and hopefully one Apple will address as I think it’s quite embarrassing for them.

I can’t get too mad though, as it’s the speed of using Apple Pay that got me my launch day delivery slot!

True
I managed to get launch day delivery as well, however I had to spend 3h on the phone last night 10pm-1am this morning just to be told by fraud department it's an apple pay limit.
Hope i wont have a problem sorting out at 8am when I ring apple as I just sold my iphone 8 yesterday and using my daughters iphone 6 for a week now ( so sluggish I cant believe )

If you paid by Apple pay it will most likely be declined, but good luck

I had, but I’m not hearing any declines through Apple Pay and AmEx combination, only a select few others: Barclaycard being the most prominent.

They’ve already authorised it, as I can see the hold.

Well if you see it in pending transactions already than you are all sorted mate.
Unlucky me...

This was from Friday though :/

It is declines, I’ll e able to fix it

As I see it, if its in pending transactions means its been authorised already mate.
They will be holding the money now till delivered and than charge you.

My payment never showed up in pending and its declined now.
