Unfortunately not. My order is delivery 13th - 20th Nov. Still a bit peeved that I did not manage to secure delivery on 3rd Nov (damn that Apple App!). I have been checking my order status & this thread frequently (well more like obsessively!) since Friday, in the hope that there may be a sign of delivery estimates improving...not holding out much hope, but you never know.

If we’re lucky it will be Friday/Saturday things start to move

I have a question about iUP and insurance. If for example, my iPhone X gets lost and my insurance provides me with a new one, what will happen next year? Will Apple not take the replacement handset as payment against the remaining balance as it is technically not the one I bought this year?

Check the Apple faqs https://www.apple.com/uk/shop/iphone/iphone-upgrade-program

Given that the hold remains on my card and I see no evidence of another transaction, I'll assume that Apple has not yet charged me for the iPhone.

I got a message in Apple store app for an unsuccessful transaction regarding my order for pickup on Friday 3/11. Tried 2 cards but both failed, hope that they won’t cancel my order till tomorrow morning :/

This weekend I feel has gone very slowly.. no doubt the week will also go so slowly.

Weekends never go slow even when waiting for new iPhones! Only consolation is that weeks seem to go quick as well so the next weekend usually arrives quite quickly too!

Thanks to person above who posted the O2 code. Just got £451 locked in on my 256gb 7+. Anyone recent experience with them? Last couple of years I've used Envirofone with no issue. O2 price is nearly another £10 on pice I have locked in on Envirofone.

That said I got an email to extend Envirofone order by 7 days today. When I clicked to accept extension it Saul I now had til 27/10 to send my phone. Unfortunately I don't time travel so will contact them double check it worked.

In other news I ordered a Spigen matt gold case from Amazon today and it arrived this evening. Am pleased with the size as doesn't feel radically different to the plus (though the real test will be seeing the screen side by side). And it fits in a small bag that was too small for the 7+. Happy days. It's the same case that I have on my 7+ but different colour. Currently using the jet black version and hoping that comes out for the X as really liked it.

Is this true about the Apple care? So if you upgrade each year you get half the value of the Apple care back? That basically pays for the next deposit if so

No because with IUP you’re not paying up front for Apple care. You pay monthly 1/20 a time

Wouldn’t worry too much about this. Think it’s a quirk in their system and that date refers to the trade date. Assume you originally locked in on the 20th? In which case it’s this date that has been rolled forward by +7. Had the same thing happen to me before

Wanted to get the Apple Silicone case, but the fact that the case doesn't have protection for the bottom lip put me off getting it. Don't understand why 3rd-party case makers are able to do so but not Apple (while ensuring that it can be plugged into the Apple dock connectors etc.)

I think it's a design decision on Apple's part.

You pay off the full loan, then trade your phone in to get the better value than the remaining payments being written off would be. This also means you have paid for the full applecare period so you do get that rebated too.

Simples :D

Correct, but the question I was relying to was asking if they upgraded yearly.. assuming that means using IUP as Apple intended

That would be awesome, I’m also in the 13th-20th delivery window. Hopefully they will be dispatched sooner than expected, but I’m still glad we are able to get them in November. :)

Just tracked down my crazy UPS route from last year.. first scan 27th sept, delivered 3rd Oct - via 7 countries!

Based on this assumption of 6 days transit and a best estimate of apple hitting the 13th from the 13-20 delivery estimate, I could say it leaves China on the 7th. Say it went ‘preparing for dispatch’ 2 days before then it gets me to my guess of seeing order updates around the 5th. Worst case is the come in the 20th which means no update on orders until 12th or so

And I called Lloyd’s and confirmed that they didn’t decline it. Need to contact Apple tomorrow....

Don't forget guys that if you're an O2 customer and you recycle your phone with them, you get an extra 10% on what they offer you! :)

Similar experience with me by DHL last year. Apple uses the slowest service, I assume because they ship in bulk. Because the normal service speed is literally 1-2 days according to UPS Time and Cost/DHL Capability Calculator data.

Bank of Scotland didn't decline mine either.
Mine declined and then they retried an hour after and it worked - Santander knew nothing about it and I didn’t receive anything from Apple, suggest they have something odd happening!

But they give you the option to do this? With a 7+ the trade in value is about £70 more than my remaining payments. So on Friday I could ask to trade up and they’d give me £70 plus any Apple care unused rebate? Seems too good to be true!

Same, though 8:04. Chose 11am slot as hopefully it means less chaos and queuing.
Me too. 8.02 email. I have a 12pm hoping that any Barclays issues have been resolved by then. Last year I was there all morning and ended up buying my phone outright and coming back the next day and refunded and bought again with iUP.

But you’d then be responsible to close of your account with Barclays for the IUP and then speak to Apple care about refunding the pro rata rate for the unused Apple care minus the cancellation charge.

Ok seems like it's a no brainer then.

Another question I have is, if I pay off the loan this week, do you think it'll show on my credit report by Friday? Bit worried than when I go and take out the fresh iUP loan they'll still see the £300 odd loan I already have on there and then refuse me...

My store pickup order got declined too. Called my bank and they told me they've had "many calls" this evening regarding this.
