Keep me posted mate. I really can't wait to get my hands on it. I have two more units on pre-order from the Apple Store for my friends. Going to suck if they get theirs first.

For those trying their John Lewis luck later this week, their API is returning stock data now.

64GB Space Grey: 228 units
64GB Silver: 341 units
256GB Space Grey: 230 units
256GB Silver: 180 units.

Edit: The app actually has buy now buttons if anyone wants to give it a try...
Edit 2: It errors at checkout. Still, you can add them to your basket, which will make your life way easier on Friday!
Looks like John Lewis is showing out of stock now so they must have updated somehow...

I can’t see them not allowing you to buy the phone out right if you go down the reservation route.

Still no payment taken for my in store pick ups on Friday. Everything probably fine but just want the money taken out so I’m 100% sure
 
Did you do a upgrade on your contract? Anything showing on my3 regarding your order?

I did. But I upgraded via phone.

In my experience, it's only if you upgrade directly through my3 can you track your upgrade/order.

I was upgrading early so had an early upgrade fee to pay, so I could only upgrade via telephone.

My3 just says:

I thought that you paid in store for pickups unless I've confusing it with something else. Try asking an agent in chat to save any fear.
You do not pay in store for a phone if ordered and paid for online. Only if on the iUP in which case it’s not ordered, it’s reserved.

If anyone wants to check go onto your order, click print invoice and it will say this:

‘We bill your item(s) prior to pickup or delivery. Once your item is billed, you can view and print your invoice.’

Ahhh I see! Thanks for clarifying. Never used iUP or store pick up (getting time off work is nigh-on impossible) so always get delivered.
 
And like that it now goes to PFD.

Now I just need a phone to put in it. I’m expecting the 13-20th batches to see status updates by the start of next week

Interestingly, it would appear stock levels/delivery estimates are all over the place with carriers and Apple - including for accessories.

I put an order in late yesterday evening for the black leather case -

CPW update. I ordered a 256Gb Space Grey at 11:50 on 27th from CPW and unfortunately that's a 10th November Delivery now. I've cancelled.
Was wanting to do the same when I got told the 10th too however I don’t want to put all my eggs in one basket. I’ll wait and see what happens on Friday first if I manage to get one somewhere else. If not then at least I have one coming on the 10th

I’ve got a despatched notice on their tracking with a delivery date change to 1st November! So something must be borked!

No problem, I only had the option of delivery of 3-4 weeks or pay online and collect in store on launch day, so of course I’m going to use half a days holiday to go get it :rolleyes:

I live 20 mins from an Apple Store so I’m going try that. It’s not a main one either in a shopping mall so I might luck out. I have a delivery for 13-20 if it fails.
