Yep. Received the email saying 'Estimated delivery 3rd Nov' and nothing since then.

Frankly, if they were going to announce delayed orders it would be really bad form to announce them this late, given that people may have taken the day off work tomorrow to be in for it. Not that I'd put it past any phone company of course.
Can't put anything past a telco! The email does say they'll notify IF there is a change, so if there's no contact from them I suppose that's their word at the moment. I just want something from the courier!

Hopefully we're both pleasantly surprised very soon.

Hey guys, long time lurker here.

I got the shipping notification from Apple, but no SMS or email from DPD.

I also tried to check using the App but I can't see my shipment.

Is that normal?

hey whats an extra tenner

I need this phone early as don't want to be waiting in all day. got to get to buy parents to dog sit an d of course go to the Apple Store to buy the nike watch
pretty sure people tried this last year and DPD couldn't fulfil the requests.. people then had the hassle of getting DPD to refund the money.. but you never know!

Th
I don’t wish to alarm you, but the SMS from DPD contains the recipient-specific link that enables the in-flight options to change date, address etc.

I doubt he/she will do anything sinister, but it might be worth keeping an eye out on the tracking to make sure no changes are made. I think it was the same for that Dave fella who posted his msg on here.

Thanks for letting me know! Hope they don't make any changes!

Lots of barriers stacked up at aApple Covent Garden - presumably expecting quite the queue. But can’t see anybody actually queuing yet

Yup. Dispatch notifications go out in batches. You might end up with UPS delivering your order. I think for my iPhone 6, I didn't get my UPS notification until about 8pm.

THIS!!!

please don't post text screenshots with links to tracking info... last year someone made the mistake and there are people out there who then followed the link and messed around with his delivery day.. they kept on delaying delivery to the following day.. from what I remember it was a nightmare for the chap and he had to wait till the following monday to get his phone.

Same here have the email with the third. Have called twice and two different story's so who knows. The last guy claimed three didn't get any phones at all... to me that sounds ridiculous. Fingers crossed for tomorrow.

It was so bad, I believe he was in hospital too!

you can put that tracking number into google and it should automatically show you the courier

Sorry for the confusion.

Yes, I already know my parcel will be delivered by DPD (I can see that from the tracking number).

I was asking if it's normal that I haven't received any SMS or email directly from DPD. And I can't see my shipment on the app.

Has anyone with a 13th-20th November seen a better date come through, seams loads of people in the US have, but no one in the UK.

thanks mate, I ordered mine around 10pm on 27th..probably explains why you have received the text and I have yet to. I chatted with them online and received a tracking number. Fingers crossed.

so you should be all sorted now then! mines all come up on the DPD app for delivery tomorrow, seems like vodafone did well this year!

@Illdoit2morrow you've made the front page of 9to5 mac too!

do you need an agent? ;)

** edit unless thats not you and someone's stolen your thunder!!!

One enterprising 9to5Mac reader in the UK even managed to get his a day early by trying his luck. Vinay Vaghjiani saw that courier firm DPD was delivering his iPhone, so turned up at the local depot this morning with ID and order details and asked if he could pick it up in person. Some hapless employee clearly didn’t realise it was on hold until tomorrow and handed it over (above).
