Looking at some of the earlier posts, it looks like Apple is expecting a delivery into the UK on Wednesday/Thursday, and is shipping a bunch to partners (JL/CPW etc) on Friday - perhaps Apple stores too? So I guess that means we can expect delivery on Monday.

Or better yet, Friday :p

I will be a little fed up if more stock goes to jl/cpw etc this week and the 13/20th people get nothing.

Lovely optimistic viewpoint you have there :) - I would LOVE it if you’re right!

It's annoying from our viewpoint. It's understandable from a business perspective though... as I said to someone last year:
Quick scenario.

I'm Apple. You're John Lewis.

You sell more of some of my products than my Apple Stores do (yes, this really is true for Macs).

You devote huge amounts of your very expensive real estate to showing off my products.

You add 2 year guarantees which makes my products more attractive.

You ask for a piece of the pre-order pie for iPhones.

I say no.

You'd be hella pissed off.

And at least it gives you more options if you miss the pre-order.

I would hope if a delivery arrived Wednesday then people who ordered direct from Apple would see their orders sooner than Monday

Apple have been doing that a lot lately.
For example, there were months when airpods had huge waiting times at apple.com but stocks were plentiful at argos and john lewis

Is anyone in the Friday Argos club that hasn't yet received the discount code? I haven't heard anything from them since the email moving delivery out (though they've obviously happily taken my money).

If Apple does give a lot to JL and Argos, I’m gonna be so annoyed. I pre ordered as early as possible.

Think what makes it worse is due to apples app being pretty rubbish a lot of us couldn’t get on I’m time to get one. If I had got in at 8:01 and it still said 13-20th it wouldn’t feel so bad

precisely this. if it was my fault for messing up the pre order id be fine.. but I simply couldn't get on the app until 08:08. once on it took me 15 seconds

Not heard a thing since cancelling, funny thing is my order is still showing as preparing for delivery Sat 4th Nov.

Exact same boat here. I'll be kicking up a fuss if the discount doesn't turn up. I was relatively chilled about the system error on Friday but wouldn't excuse a second screw up!

As one of the many 13-20th people here I’m rather disappointed that there’s still no movement. I have this week off work and rather hoped to have it by now or at least by the weekend so I can see if it’s ok and set it up and use it to see if I’m happy with it and also have time to go to the nearest Apple store which is an hour travel away in Cardiff if I’m not.

Just picked up mine from the Leeds store. Feeling very lucky I bagged one at 6am. Cancelled my online order. Happy Chappy.

Congrats! Did you go for IUP or outright purchase?

I’m already an iup customer. Checked multiple times this morning and about 30 mins ago a 256gb in space gray became available.

How did you get on? Was it worth the drive?

If your order on your online account still shows as Preparing for delivery, and doesn't say cancelled anywhere they may not have cancelled it properly. My online account shows the order as cancelled when you go in to it.

Lots of us impatient 13-20 waiting for our phones. Yes it’s annoying but Apple have a whole load of wholesale channels they need to supply along with their retail customers.

We’re one week away from their earliest possible delivery slot and worst case 2. It’s likely we’ll see movement this week so as hard as it is, just a little patience and we’ll all soon have the phones you want.

It looks like most of Northern Europe has a 13-20 slot so I can assume they’ll start staggering out soon enough.

I’ve actually got an unopened 256 silver sitting in front of me which was from JL on Saturday. The missus claimed it and is now in two minds on whether she wants it! I’ve made my mind up to go on IUP as a serial upgrade and what looks like preferential access to stock as sold it to me.

You have the patience of a god to not have opened that!

For me the issue isn’t waiting, it’s the fact that when they announce pre-orders they always say “on a first come first served basis”, while it seems that what they really mean is “first come first served until the launch day stock runs out, after that it’s a free for all”. There is no point having pre-orders if you are then going to fulfil orders placed weeks afterwards before you fulfil the pre-orders IMHO. In fact I’d go as far as to say that if you try and pre-order and don’t get launch day delivery you might as well cancel the pre-order and take your chances on one of the other routes because you’ll almost certainly get it faster.
