When I spoke to them yesterday they said they only allocated stock after approving the purchase, weird I know. They stated they expected my order to be cancelled today. so looks like they took more orders than stockUnshackled failed my purchase, no reason given. Outright purchase and all in order here. So I'm not very happy with them, seems suss to me.

Apple weren't too keen to help me when my John Lewis iPhone X was damaged out the box. They said I was best to go back to them in the first year. I pushed them on it since they are the manufacturer and they said I could take it to them but I'd have to go through the Genius Bar process which could take much longer. If I had bought it from Apple they would have just exchanged the device without the need for a Genius appointment.I am hoping I will get it before 24th and sticking with Apple order for now
