So I called Apple wrt changing to Paypal as a payment type. The lady on the phone kept saying "Yes, I will change your payment to another credit card, just let me have the details". I tried to explain it twice but she wasn't having it. Gave up and just used a card instead.

I am hoping I will get it before 24th and sticking with Apple order for now

Is it any advantage buying directly from Apple vs other Seller’s?

Unshackled failed my purchase, no reason given. Outright purchase and all in order here. So I'm not very happy with them, seems suss to me.
When I spoke to them yesterday they said they only allocated stock after approving the purchase, weird I know. They stated they expected my order to be cancelled today. so looks like they took more orders than stock:(

Apple weren't too keen to help me when my John Lewis iPhone X was damaged out the box. They said I was best to go back to them in the first year. I pushed them on it since they are the manufacturer and they said I could take it to them but I'd have to go through the Genius Bar process which could take much longer. If I had bought it from Apple they would have just exchanged the device without the need for a Genius appointment.

You PFD’d yesterday right?

Yes! Between 6 and 7 I think, delivery confirmed for tomorrow - I might see if I can get it delivered before I leave for work by paying extra - UK Mail for me, that's the norm I've had (Live in Kent)

yup

Preparing for Dispatch

Hopefully some point today

Yeah me too mate I'm sure now mine has you'll see it soon!

They would have only done that in the first 14 days though. After that it would have been the Genius bar. JL would have done it for the first 90 I think.

So instead of being honest they decide to make me feel like it's my fault, having failed their checks. Shysters.

So i suppose its plus then if It breaks or it’s faulty only in my case then ( I am not planning taking Apple care never broke any of my iPhones and had 5 of them )

If I am not planning on Apple insurance then no difference I presume
