No idea what's going on. Have re-keyed my payment card and its not authorising. Have even tried a totally different card and its not going through either. Is this the issue others have had when they used Apple Pay initially?
Yup. Had same with a S3 Apple Watch and again yesterday. Didn't get a confirmation it had gone through - just kept banging in my details and after I gave up the "Awaiting Payment" tag on the order disappeared and the money left my account.

Yes it's through the reserve and pickup system. It says to join the IUP but as others have done this year (and I did last year) you can just go to your reservation and pay for the phone outright.
I don't know about existing IUP members though, not sure if there is different stock set aside for them.

I’ve got a preorder day iUP reservation in Edinburgh for a 256 SG currently showing as “arrives by 18 November”, which moved forward last week from “arrives by 2 December”. Little bit miffed to see the exact model I’m waiting on be put up for open reservation rather than being pushed to those of us in the existing queue...

For future reference, straight from their Twitter account “you can buy more than one, we just ask for ID confirmation for second and third orders just to make sure everything is secure”

Just spoken with Unshackled twitter via DM and their story now is that iPhone X is a special case and although they normally allow multiple orders he has now found out they are not for iPhone X (which is why my second order was cancelled).

Spoke with Unshackled, turns out the delivery address has to be the card address.

Mine wasn't (done via PayPal), phone now out for delivery.

I phoned my credit card company to say anytime over the next couple weeks I will have a transaction going though for a large amount to Apple, so hopefully no more issues whenever they go to take payment!
I had to phone my bank but whilst on the phone they sent me a text to say the payment was blocked as it was a large amount and text back to authorise it... quite good really - just delayed my delivery though :(

I spoke with my local John Lewis this morning in the hope that they might have had a delivery. The woman on the phone checked the system for me and although there was none today she said they’re expecting 1000+ phones on Friday and 2000+ the following Friday from their ‘third party supplier.’ She couldn’t give me details on which models but did say that the best chance of snagging one is online rather than in store.

Edit: The numbers she gave where very specific like 1326 and 2457 but I can’t remember them exactly so that’s why I’ve generalised

Just happened to try Unshackled again, and they had a 64GB in stock, so went through it and they offered me it at 17.9% APR with Payments of £47pm?! My credit score is literally 999/999 with very little other credit - suddenly it wasn’t very appealing. Goodness knows what I need to do to get their best rate

Guys, if anybody is looking for the 64GB models, KRCS (an apple reseller) have some silver in stock in Derby and a black one in Hull;

https://www.krcs.co.uk/iphone/iphone-x

I normally get my apple stuff from these guys - totally unlocked device, and from memory I think they offer two years warranty as standard.

Hope this helps someone!

Slept through my alarm and didn’t get to check the reservation page until 6:10am. Anyone have any luck with a 256GB X? I only saw 64GBs by that time.

Unshackled failed my purchase, no reason given. Outright purchase and all in order here. So I'm not very happy with them, seems suss to me.
