For me it’s either an X or nothing.
Was totally underwhelmed by the 8+
My major issue as @Azzin alluded to is the sheer cost. By the time a case and AppleCare + is factored in it’s stupid money.
I wonder how it would work on the iUP considering it’s launched in October? Would that mean that next year we’d have to wait until October?
Genuinely torn.

Exactly, you can only upgrade after 11 payments. The iPhone payments 0%APR might be a better option, you can sell the phone and settle the finance when ever you want
Why return? Cheesing the Apple policy to bridge the gap to the X? I was thinking o buy a cheap used 5s/6/6s and either sell on at a small loss (renting it effectively), or keep it as a spare.
Might only be 4-6 weeks, but if they’re scarce it could be months..
If the stock allocation for the 8 is that bad, I might just resell it, but I kind of like the design of the 8. When I get the X, there's a solid chance that I'll return the X and get the 8 again and stick with it.
X is a significant departure from what I'm used to, and costs a truck load more. I don't know if I'm ready for that.
Why are you buying a phone with the intent to return it? Doesn't that just take one out of circulation for someone who genuinely wants to own one?
I'm tempted to do this

- I don’t know how long the X will take. If I can’t get one until ne t year I’ll keep the 8 until then
I tend not to know how I feel about a product until after spending at least 3 days with it, so I'll likely return or keep the X.
Here we go again then. After an 8+ myself. Not sold on the X, something tells me it's going to be like original iPhone, i.e. a bit of a nightmare to actually own. Gonna wait until the X2 or whatever they will call it. FaceID just seems like it's going to be more inconvenient than anything else - I bet all the banking and other apps don't support it until how secure it is can be proven. That's what I like about touch ID - fast login to lots of apps.
Tell that to the YouTubers who buy every colour and capacity. They don’t care that they’re effectively stealing orders from other people. I’ve always thought there was something ignorant and shameless about that.
Just reserve a phone for in store pick up via the regular order page and tell them you want to sign up for iUP when you go to collect it.
