Okay the Argos saga continues, received iPhone this afternoon. God knows which order this is from,who knows maybe I will get another one in a couple of days.

I’ve had this, if they charge me the card I use for Argos will bounce - I cancelled and did not re order but am apparently getting another iPhone X tomorrow? I waited on my Apple Store pre order and got it early!

My friend was told this morning that it will be 15th December now his delivery. He ordered on 3rd Nov. He decided to cancel this morning after being given £150 compensation over last few weeks. He is being refunded. This afternoon he got a message saying it has been despatched and should be delivered tomorrow.

So they are giving him a phone and £150!!
Has anyone been chased for payment for phones they have been refunded for and had delivered.

You people have got lucky!!

I bought from Argos and mine came within a week! No compo and no refund.

Seems like Argos are refunding but sending the order out externally but not cancelling so they are getting dispatched too. Looks like a glitch in their process!!

You could order one in store and then cancel and get it delivered free!!

Just set it up as if you want to enable TouchID and it converts to FaceID

I think it would show up as available for in store pick up if it is.

So, all the incoming stock is available to reserve? Was wondering if they split it between reserve and walk ins

Picked up my iPhone X this morning and I'm finding iOS an absolute mess after Android Oreo. The hardware is excellent, just not sure if I can cope with iOS! And before anyone says anything, I have had all the iPhones up to and including the iPhone 6.

I feel the same way about android SW. I don’t find it user friendly at all. Tried using it for a while and gave up. Sold the phone for a loose. Having said that, this thread is about iPhones!!!

Anyone know what happens if you purchase one for pick up (so paying in full, not reserving for the iUP) and miss your pick up slot ? Given you’ve paid for it I assume they hold it at store for a while ?

I would assume it’s held for 10 days like other places and if you don’t collect it within that time then it’s refunded. Don’t know for certain as I’ve only ever purchased online

This is the worst shopping experience I have ever experienced and I am shocked because it is my first experience buying from Apple. Stock on a daily basis to my local store and I am stuck waiting for a million years for my phone. By the time it gets here (A million years) I won't want it anymore, poor and shocking shopping experience.

I snapped yesterday and phoned the Apple store Belfast after seeing multiple phones being sold on classified sites by the same sellers, all with Apple store receipts. Asked how some people can be so lucky each morning at 6am and others never get a chance. Was told rather loosely that some people have ‘different browser settings that help’. Whatever that all means I wasn’t told. Still of the opinion that some are privy to information most buyers aren’t!

Same here, ordered on 4th November. Very annoying as there was stock everywhere today (due to it being Black Friday, I guess). I doubt there will be any movement until next week now. Apple will be too busy swimming in all their cash.

I ordered 4th Nov. Have a 28 nov - 5th Dec delivery on a silver 256gb. Seriously hope it ships soon as I swear the wife thinks I’m having an affair the number of times I check my phone. It’s a surprise for her b day!
