Did you go into that then click next? What happens next?

If you're on the iUP and want to upgrade you need to go straight to the link to check eligibility (this is in the Apple Store app, BTW, not the website). If you're eligible it then asks you to choose device, spec and colour, then you can choose the store to reserve at and a time slot. It then confirms everything and offers to add it to your calendar so you don't forget (as if!). You don't need to give any details other than name, email address and mobile number.

I'm going to sign up for IUP but can't collect next Friday. When will I be able to make a reservation for next Saturday? Will I be able to do it tomorrow or will I have to wait until next Saturday to try and make a reservation?

Thanks for that

Is there a time frame where you have to pick it up?

I'm in same boat. Would be good if they allowed you to at least pick the following day.

Every plus model in every capacity still available for pick up on 22nd in Newcastle.

Seems like plenty of stock which is always good!

Anyone who was on the iUP and upgraded via the iUP, reserved an additional device in a different colour with the view to choosing which one they want to do the iUP upgrade to?

Yes.

iUP is a finance deal and as such, cannot be signed on anyone else's premises.

Those that are getting delivered have bought the phone outright.
Cheers

Looking like I will do IUP for iphone x seeing as EE have prices only for the 64GB model,

63 a month for the 256GB iphone x..going to be pricey

It's actually a very nice phone my son has one, has most things you'd want!

Yeah agreed, it's a cracking little phone. I was always a fan of the iPhone 5 and 5S design. Much faster and more features than my backup iPhone I've been using since I sold my iPhone 7 Plus.

This is weird :)

First year since 2001 that i am not upgrading on launch day - used to do it via provider, last 3 or 4 years bought outright from apple. It was mayhem at 8:01 each year!

Just tried at 8:55 both ways 'to see' and all models of iPhone 8+ 64 & 256GB are available for launch day. From Apple and Vodafone. Never ever happened before.

Is everyone waiting for the X or have people finally realised that including AppleCare £1000 for a telephone that is out of date in 12 months is excessive?

For those with emails, are you still at processing order? I'm wondering if John Lewis have put the brakes on mine (£0 balance)... their website is terrible for seeing transactions in process...

I suspect its a few different reasons - the X was the phone rumoured to have serious supply constraints this time; some people will be waiting for the X; I'm sure Apple do all they can every year to improve the amount of stock available and I'm sure the carriers also do what they can to make the process better each year.
