I'm going to sign up for IUP but can't collect next Friday. When will I be able to make a reservation for next Saturday? Will I be able to do it tomorrow or will I have to wait until next Saturday to try and make a reservation?

You can reserve iUP for any day you like. When you choose your pick up time slot you can change the date. That’s what I’ve done with my girlfriend’s iUP upgrade.

Looks like the 256gb versions are slipping to 1-2 weeks.

The 64gb version is still ok for delivery next Friday

Working a short day next Friday to go and collect mine :)

Every plus model in every capacity still available for pick up on 22nd in Newcastle.

Seems like plenty of stock which is always good!

Either that or those of us in the North East are all holding out for the 10.

Being the data geek that I am, it would be interesting to see the data on how popular phones are by colour/size in different countries & regions. I imagine there are some clear trends.

I can imagine that Apple execs are rather nervous right now. They will be hoping for strong sales of the 8/8+ but not so strong that weak demand for the X in October is implied. Quite a tricky juggling act with many eager to claim either as being a flop.

Local store STILL has stock! This is madness. I’ve never seen this before. I wonder if pre-order numbers are down much below last year.

You watch next year, when I’m actually buying an iPhone again, stock will be limited. Sod’s law.

Maybe it’s just an odd year this year because of X.

Last year I had to wait until the end of Oct for my 7 in jet black

This is hilarious, they're all still in stock for next Friday.

Considering they probably only have about 10 iPhone X units available for pre-order, they’ll definitely be able to announce that the X sold out “in minutes.” ;)

When you choose your time slot there’s an option to change day at the top. I used the app, if that helps.

Think picking the day only works for upgrades. I was wanting to join IUP and only option is the Friday at the moment. Ah well.

I couldn’t get a 7 Plus reservation until January last year! But that’s also cause I wasn’t in a position to buy the phone in September.

Not for me unfortunately. It must be because I'm a new customer

Nice to see a few familiar names from a year ago!

Bagged myself an 8 Plus in space grey, 256gb - collecting from Birmingham. Felt far too easy compared to a year ago, and stock looks decent. I suspect it's a combination of:
  • Apple having far better historical data for forecasting (the Plus will be popular)
  • Fewer colour options
  • Fewer storage options
  • Demand for the X
Thanks to the folks that posted the Envirofone extra 5% code earlier!

Question about the iPhone upgrade plan/payments plan. The deposit is £69, but can I pay a larger deposit to bring down the monthly cost? Or if I start with a £69 deposit, can I call up Barclays and make an additional payment which will then bring my monthly cost down?

Interested in the last bit too.

Rather surprised at that!

Missed the pre order opening at 08:01 as we got a job. Managed to hastily put an order in at 9 o clock and delivery estimate is still 22nd September!

Ordered an iPhone 8 64GB in space grey, hope everyone else managed to get their orders in and will be rather jealous and envious when people start posting about their iPhone X order!

Any one tried ordering through O2?
Ive been trying since 7:40 to upgrade, have it in my basket and when I enter card details, I get an error, it clears out my details and doesn't go through!
The error message gives no reason whats gone wrong!

From looking at my existing Barclays credit terms from my 7 Plus Upgrade Program, it appears that whatever additional money you pay shortens the term of the loan, it doesn't change the monthly payments.

Interesting. I can live with the same monthly cost, but for a shorter period of time. Cheers!
