That be my plan just need to swap from delivery to IPP instore next week

I’ve reserved one via iup already (already on it with the X). I assume I can just give them the X and then start a new one with iPhone payments.

I think I may be on the best deal here ;)

My Three sim-only tariff: AYCE Data + AYCE Texts + 200 mins. Cost: £7 pm

Financially, perhaps. Having used the Three network, I'd rather pay double for a network that actually allows me to use the bloody phone without WiFi. You might have a better experience in your location, but down here, I may as well go sim-free and just use WiFi when available.

It’s my first time ordering/pre-ordering directly from Apple. Do the iPhones get delivered via Royal Mail’s normal schedule? Or do they use someone else for the deliveries? Also is a signature required? Thanks

hahah Same here three always sell cheap mobile phone contracts or AYCE sim contracts for less than £7 what happens the network goes downhill reason why no money to upgrade with all these cheap prices.

Awful network been with three since 2014 the network gone downhill speeds are slow calls dropouts customer service is terrible.

What the point of AYCE data if you cannot use it at all hence why three prices are so cheap.

If I was to buy the Xs Max 256gb through Very with the 10% discount, the device total would come to £1,124. If I then chose the 12 month interest free option, I'd choose to pay £50 a month, so at the end of the 12 months the remaining balance would be £530 (£1,124 - (12 x £50)). I'd then sell the phone before upgrading to the new iPhone next year.

Doing the above would technically mean I was only paying just £600 for the new phone over the 12 months. Can anyone see a problem or issue with doing it this way? Seems too good to be true...
Wouldn’t you be better going on iUP?

That way, you’d get Applecare Plus...

Agreed. I was pleased with my Three SIM only deal. 4G, solid signal, max 5 bars reception, brilliant - or so I thought, until a friend on EE and I both did a speed test. Same location, both using a Samsung phones. I was getting about 2Mbps download and less than 1Mbps upload on Three and he was getting over 60Mbps download and about 12Mbps upload on EE. My latest speed test on my new EE contract showed 96.2Mbps download speed.

Bit of placebo in there, as you said you were happy on 3?

Apple usually use either DPD or UKMail for iPhones.
A signature is definitely required.

I left three UK after 8 years moved to EE what a different experience I'm having right now.

I'm having no speed issue no bloody me using three WiFi to call home.

No awful customer service with EE at least they understand you.

With three customer service they are a big nightmare asking for my PAC code this week took me 40 plus minutes they even tried to ask me to stay for two months free if I don't use my PAC code within the last day.
Sellout.

Call up with this reference number you will received two months free if you continue with our services thanks three uk.

I entered my voucher code from my benefits portal into my basket on the EE site. I had to call them after as I messed up and for some reason it didn’t take the discount despite showing me the discount initially. They sorted it tho.

So specifically:
- Add the phone SIM
- Add the voucher code
- Add further SIMs

It showed £30.40 in basket (£38 with 20% discount) but when I completed the order it showed £38. I called up and they sorted it and applied the 20% discount.

Ok great thanks for that !

Did you also get 12 months interest free? Is there a code to enter ? Thanks
It's also worth mentioning that if you sign up using Topcashback there's a chance you'll get something back off them too.

I've just signed up for a Very account for the 10% discount via there & it's tracked already.

Fingers crossed it all goes to plan

Has anyone bought the Logitech Powered Wireless charging stand and would you recommend it? I know it is very expensive for what it is (£59.99) but I really like the design.

Hopefully the week will go in quick and Friday will be here before we know it.

I have ordered one so it should be here in a couple of days. I will let you know more detailed thoughts when I get it. I had a look at one whilst in the US and it seemed really nicely built and will look good on my desk. I did not buy it at the time because it had a US plug.

I do have a cheap Anker pad but I have mostly bought Mophie chargers as the build quality was a lot better and they have been rock solid over the last year. They started off at 55 quid so I don’t mind paying more if it looks and feels good.

I ordered the iCarez (2,5D) one from Amazon (link: https://www.amazon.com/iCarez-Coverage-Tempered-Installation-Protector/dp/B07GQMF3Q8?keywords=icarez+iPhone+xs+max&qid=1537188582&s=Cell+Phones+&+Accessories&sr=1-5-fkmrnull&ref=sr_1_fkmrnull_5)
Had the 3D one for the iPhone X and loved it. Only reason I'm now going for 2,5D is because it's more case friendly if I want to get a non-Apple case in the long run.
I am gonna get the Belkin fitted in store next week

I had the Belkin one at the beginning but wasn't happy since the end of the protector was right where I needed to swipe up so it wasn't an as smooth experience as it could be, haha!

That would be great thank you. It looks really good I wish it came in black as well but I would still get it in white. I know there are cheaper ones on Amazon which have been recommended too I like the design of this one and I know it is a good and trustworthy brand.

Has anyone bought from Very before for release day delivery ? I have a recollection that they didn’t, er, deliver last year on promises - might be confusing them with someone else though.

I'll have to call back at lunch to make sure I can definitely do that. Do they refund immediately?

For me last year, they refunded my x to a gift card first and then straight away scanned the phone back in for an IUP purchase. I hadn’t opened it, or removed and seals etc. After that was done they then refunded the gift card back to my credit card.

The reason for the gift card was so if I couldn’t sign up to IUP, I could just use the gift card to buy it back. Rather than getting ‘two’ credit card charges whilst the refund was processed by my bank.

All really helpful in store and done in 15 mins
