Cool vid - thanks for posting.
Biggest shocker for me is the fact that the iPhone XS Max has exactly the same screen size as the iPhone XS in that on the XS Max, you don't get any extra row of icons or extra info when in any app, when compared to the XS. The Max is displaying the same screen as the XS but in just a bigger format.
I'm pretty sure this was not the case with the 8 and 8 Plus as the Plus sized screens did actually display more info.....
This has cemented my decision that I made the right choice going from the 8 Plus to the XS.
It's just because no third party apps have been updated to utilise the extra screen real estate yet. We saw the exact same happen when the 6 and 6 Plus were released, apps stretched until developers updated their apps. The screen has more "points" compared to the standard X/XS, which allows more content to be displayed.
"Apps that were built with Xcode 9 (i.e. targeting iOS 11) are unaware of the existence of the iPhone XS Max screen size. When built with the Gold Master version of Xcode 10, apps see the true nature of the iPhone XS Max and iPhone XR screens. "
