My O2 order has been delivered to the store. Wonder if there's any chance of getting a pick-up notification today...

I think maybe next year I’ll go for a 2 year carrier contract, with a nice hefty data allowance, with a view to flogging the phone after the year and getting the new model.

I’m paying £16 per month for a F&F Vodafone SIM Only with 40GB data, but on top of that I’ll be paying £68 for my XSM, so a total of £84, which doesn’t really stack up.

I appreciate the iUP includes Applecare plus and gives a simpler renewal process, I just think it may be time to look around.

If only EE included Turkey in their EU roaming packages.

I’m hoping that because they said it will arrive by the 29th, that they’d hold until the 30th?

Presumably, they hold it until COB on Saturday 29th anyway, so if I’m there 1st thing when they open on Sunday 30th, it should in theory, still be there?
may also be 'less' busy by then too so could be ok..

You’ll get a text to say it’s in store to pick up tomorrow, just like everyone else. You won’t get it early, if that’s what you’re asking.

Does anybody know how to track on the UKMAIL site? They are asking for a consignment number. But all I have from Apple are a tracking number and an order number. None works.
I want to see my slot and all of that stuff tomorrow morning

Anybody had any luck?

most the notifications being seen are just couriers getting the information about the package and who its going to. Tracking will usually kick in once the parcels have been collected from Syncreon in Hinkley later on today. from that point you'll see it on its journey to your local depot.

Then tomorrow, once its loading into the van for delivery along with the gazillion other phones he/she will have, you'll get a notification of your hour slot.

Oh ok, so the tracking or order number should work as the consignment number eventually then you recon.
Their customer service is awful by the way. Never managed to speak to a human being..

The packages haven't actually been picked up by DPD/UKMail yet. I'm guessing the labels have been created and they're due to be picked up later. Tracking on your respective couriers' sites will be active once they've entered their shipping network, i.e, once they get picked up.

can you imagine how many calls they'll be getting about 'where my phone?'

people will get theirs tomorrow, go easy on the couriers, those guys driving around are under a lot of pressure to deliver x number of parcels in a day.. imagine what its like on iPhone day!

tracking will become 'active' once couriers get the phones handed over and they scan them in.

I originally order via Apple at 1pm on 14th and got 24-01 Oct but just ordered another one through CPW for delivery “tomorrow”. Scared to cancel Apple order tho as not sure how reliable CPW is.

How long did other that ordered through CPW take to receive a confirmation email aside from the initial processing email?

I placed an order at 11:22 today and received the confirmation email at 11:30 and then another email saying it has been successfully processed. They have also claimed the funds in my bank acc unlike apple hence I cancelled the order

Don’t cancel orders for later on yet!!

Strongly advise anyone being tempted by CPW or Very etc to keep your apple order until the other one is actually in your hand! They are notorious for not delivering when they say they will and then denying they ever said they would in the first place!
The Apple order is a doddle to cancel so just hold onto it 'til you have your shiny new iPhone :)

Oh I wasn't asking where it was, I had originally entered the wrong postcode (a letter off), changed it through apple but they suggested I check with my courier as soon as I know who it is. But have not managed to find a human to speak with yet.

I did exactly this last year with iPhone X... For me the website and app just remained closed until something like 8:11 when all the launch day stock was gone. I had an Apple order with a later delivery date and a CPW order for launch day. The CPW order arrived on launch day and once it was in my hands, I just cancelled the Apple order.

I received the CPW "order is on its way" email at 15:29 on 2nd November (day before launch), I got the DPD "TOMORROW" email at 19:36 that same day. It was then delivered by 10:11 on November 3rd (launch day). Cancelled my 2-3 weeks Apple order at 1pm that day.

This! I canceled when I got my iphone 7plus and carphone warehouse didn't ship till 2 weeks later. I was livid. Don't cancel anything until the phone is in your hands.

...cue all the "....my DPD/UK Mail driver, who's called Dave, is at stop number 26 and I'm stop number 32 - HURRY UP!!! " threads tomorrow!

I'll have my shiny iPhone XS in my hands by 9:30am tomorrow morning (i'm hoping for no queues again at the Bromley branch)!!

:apple::D

9.30 - 10 IUP reservation tomorrow for silver XS. Can’t wait! (But still slightly tempted to get Max.)
