So i've just called and cancelled my X AppleCare and they're refunding £112.74 back to Barclays for me.
I have £575.55 left on my loan, minus the AppleCare refund, leaving me £187.19 better off after selling my X to magpie for £650!
crazy how people will be just going into store and handing them back in and swapping for a new phone.. apple are raking it in with IUP.

UK mail Preston just left a card saying "nobody home"
They didn't even knock on the door

Those bastards. Nothing makes me angrier. Happened to me the day before a flight back in June, I was literally sitting 3 metres from the front door!
That sucks. This is why I stay camped next to the living room window on iPhone day.
I am hoping mine is delayed too as they only time I have to go out is the delivery window and the driver progress tracking has disappeared from the ukmail website
Sucks indeed! Have to say collection from store was a doddle and removes any of this stress. Definitely doing this next year again
ah man that really sucks! I said yesterday how good DPD are and how rubbish UKMail are but someone disagreed. Every experience I have with UKMail is bad and I have deliveries daily for work.
Really sorry for you. I hope Apple don't use them next year.

Oh dear, see. Likely want's it to go missing. .I'm never doing an order for delivery again, that was my thought when i chanced it this morning HIGH Value product - I feel for those who didn't order from Apple if issues arise with deliveries.

Apple have been using them for years and I doubt that will change. I’m pretty sure there’ll be similar stories for dpd deliveries too out there.

I’m restoring from backup and waiting for HSBC to finish downloading but it’s been “loading” for ages without making progress. Did you manage to sort yours out?
The map on UKMail has disappeared!! He hadn't moved in 2 hours either. I give up.
Restore is underway.... my old X has been handed down to my wife...her restore is in progress.. her iPhone 8 is boxed up ready to go to Magpie...I think we're in good shape!

How's everyone getting on? Was hanging out with some super Apple fans this morning at the Birmingham store, which felt like the classic product launch days of old.
Thoroughly pleased with my XS Max. Despite being heavier than my outgoing 8 Plus on paper, it somehow feels lighter? I can only assume it's due to better weight dispersal.
Lack of a home button is taking some getting used to, but I'm slowly getting there.
Face ID is great! Auto logging in to various apps (especially banking) is such a pleasure. My favourite pair of sunglasses block attention awareness, so I'm potentially going to disable that.
Screen is huge and so sharp! I had the store put one of the Belkin protectors on it this morning, so got to see the application machine. Pretty slick.
Will have a play with the camera in a bit.

My timeframe for UKMail starts in around 40 minutes. But the tracking map hasn't worked at all.
