iPhone XS Max black leather case: check
iPhone XS Max tempered glass screen protector: check
New 30W USB-C charger: check

iPhone XS Max 64GB space grey: CHECK!

Delivered at 13:30, a fully one and half hours early than the expected due time.
This year I can't fault UK Mail. Good luck to everyone else waiting today.

Now have 14 days to decide whether the 64GB is enough memory (after 256GB in my X) or I go back up to the lofty heights of 256GB again. The sweet spot would be 128GB.

Over the last year I used a mere 90GB in my X but that included lots of downloaded movies etc. as I mainly use iCloud. Decision on the 64GB was due to upping my cloud usage even more. We shall see.

Going to do all the box openings & restore tonight.

Catching a flight at 6am so I had 100% zero capacity for any delays today!

....so was walking out the Apple Store with my shiny new XS and for the life of me, couldn’t work out how to turn the phone OFF (you don’t just press the power button)!!!o_O

Was pressing everything until I realised you have to press the power button AND one of the volume buttons! Apple don’t make this easy do they?!:p

Only been playing around with my XSM for a couple of minutes, but I am already in love with the quality of the sound. It is already going above and beyond what I have been used to with my 6S+.

I love how the phone vibrates to the music. <3 :apple:

I suppose it’s because long-press on the power button now brings up Siri

So i've just called and cancelled my X AppleCare and they're refunding £112.74 back to Barclays for me.

I have £575.55 left on my loan, minus the AppleCare refund, leaving me £187.19 better off after selling my X to magpie for £650!

crazy how people will be just going into store and handing them back in and swapping for a new phone.. apple are raking it in with IUP.

Agreed! If you can afford it, this is the better way!

Also, when you upgrade in store, they close the old account and start a new one meaning another credit search and credit file - the old account remains own file for 6 years!

Those bastards. Nothing makes me angrier. Happened to me the day before a flight back in June, I was literally sitting 3 metres from the front door!

Hate that! I switch my TV to my CCTV system and once I see the van approach, I'll head to the door before they even knock.

XS driver's been on 'roids all day and working through pretty quick, as soon as he hit drop 50 he's slowed right down, i'm currently drop 59 and he's moving ever so slowly now!

XSM arrived around 1'ish.

I think mine just had his lunch. He stopped at 73 for a good half an hour, just ticked over to 74 now. Only 7 more to go!

Yeah I’ve upgraded from the X and the OLED screen on that was okay. It had the colour shift a slight bit but nowhere near the extremes of this new iPhone XS Max. I seriously mean it when I say the whole screen is full-on pink when you move it literally a few millimetres.

For a £1,099 phone, I think I need a better screen then that. :(
I’ll take it to the Apple Store on Monday and see what they say.

So coming from the iPhone 8 Plus, I cant really see much difference in screen quality on the XS?!

I had a quick play with the max in store and even got someone to put a silicon case on it for me to see how it went.. all good so will see how the next 14 days go!

must have just missed each other in Bromley, I was in the queue at 10 on the dot.

I joined the queue just after 9am but was in store whilst you were in the queue most probably!

One thing stuck is imessage, have a message at the bottom "Downloading messages from iCloud" dont appear to be moving, -anyone else seeing similar?
Plug it in, when I turned messages in iCloud on originally it didn't download them all until I was connected to power.

I was going to be one of those until I read yours and others plans on selling it. Glad I did.

So i love FaceID apart from when it comes to Apple Pay!

Just tried it at the local shop and its telling me to double tap the screen which i do and it does nothing apart from telling me to double tap the screen!!!!!

Other than that, everything setup smoothly and everything about it is gorgeous

Never mind, guess UKMail was having a glitch. Got my iPhone as expected (1pm) so didn’t have to wait till 3:30pm.

Wasn’t too happy when the guy just knocked and dumped it in my garden in plain view but I’ve got it so it’s cool.

Anyone who wants to put an iPhone X case on an iPhone XS. I think it works okay-ish. The case I got luckily has more room room around the camera so i didn’t have to squeeze it in. However, the speaker holes are a little misaligned.

Anyway, see you lot in the next 2-3 years!!

Never had to double tap the screen. Double click the side button is usually what you do.

As above, double tap the sleep/wake button not the screen. ;)
