I bought the Belkin glass protector which Apple provide - they installed it on my XS in store using their applicator tool, which results in a 100% perfect install. Had that done to my 8 Plus last year and the protector lasted all year without a single blemish.

Did cost £29.95 though.....!

Do you recommend it? May get one for my XS.

Does anyone know how long it usually takes Barclays to confirm that the old IUP finance agreement has been settled by Apple?

...should be instant. I received the email before I had even left the Apple Store with my new iPhone XS. It shows how much was left on the old IUP agreement and how much my iPhone 8 Plus was (£395) which paid of the outstanding amount.

I bought this spigen with the fitting bracket for £15 on Amazon and it’s perfectly aligned and you can’t even tell it’s on the phone.

I would highly recommend that one.

Also anyone got any games/apps or wallpaper apps that take advantage of the Max’s sexy screen?

I’m in this boat as well I have a feeling we won’t get a Saturday delivery because it’s charge as an extra by apple and the order just states free delivery.
I hope I am very wrong though! Looking at Monday probably.

Man, UKMail have made themselves look really stupid!

They did not turn up and then claimed that “delivery attempted”.

Hmmmm

1. No card
2. Nobody at the door as proven by security cameras
3. “View event” showed the wrong street name, wrong post code, wrong Town and wrong county

Muppets!

If they said, traffic caused delays or something... fair enough... but why lie?

To be fair they did attempt delivery, just at the wrong address! ;)

Quick question....!

When buying Apps via the App Store on the XS, as well as the phone going through the usual Face ID process, it also asks me to double click the power button before the app will start to download?!

Does it do this for every app because it’s quite annoying to have to double click the power button every time I buy an app? Is there a way to turn this off?
o_O
It did it every now and again on my X. I thought it was only for paid apps?

So for the first time ever DPD let me down today. But I got it in the end. For those of you who want to find out about the funny situation I'll link it here: https://www.reddit.com/r/apple/comments/9htd2u/iphone_xs_max_dpd_today_liam_neeson_would_be_proud/

Other than that, I'll see you all next year. Thankyou for the company this order period again!

Looks like they don’t have any left in stock though. Could try Spigen direct? Just google Spigen UK.
If you need one urgently I can recommend this: https://www.amazon.co.uk/ESR-Protec...9398&sr=1-2&keywords=esr+screen+protector+max

Installed 2 today on 2 iPhones, perfect first time on both! They seem as good as my Orzley one which lasted the whole year last time!

Top tip: when restoring from backup, once it’s finished and your phone has rebooted, don’t enter your Apple ID password when prompted. Let your phone start up and show your springboard.

Then you can press on an app you want to install, enter your Apple ID password, it will then download that app only. You can then select which ones to install.

Handy if you want to get WhatsApp up and running first (for example).

Anyone with 3UK.
What your 4G Cellular speeds like Just had my iPhone XS Max 256gb delivered to my work place restored and tested the speedtest here in London getting only 1.34mb download and upload showing 7.56mb.

Why is this network is so slow for heavens my EE showing speeds on iPhone 7+ 39.87mb and upload 20.45mb
I'm on 3. I switched 4G off a couple of months ago as it simply stopped working (nothing downloaded, Apple Music wouldn't connect to stream etc. I just run 3G now. My friend also has the same issue. I shall be switching in January when my contract is up.
