The Xs - I got the 64GB Space Grey - is absolutely amazing: super fast and responsive. Not much bigger than my 8 at all but clearly the screen is a lot more immersive because that is a lot bigger. I thought I’d hate the notch - I always turn it off on my Android phones - but it’s honestly fine.

The good news is the screen protector I ordered fits perfectly and covers the entire OLED and a bit around it which is a lot better than my iPhone 8 one which causes a rainbow effect.

I’ve ordered a Speck Presidio Grip for my iPhone Xs, the Speck site seems to imply their X cases fit the Xs so hopefully I won’t have any issues.

What screen protector did you buy?

I feel like I've been done over by O2 here. 64gb XS max on 3 year contract is £62 a month. Should I send this handset back and go with a different network?

The tracking website stopped showing driver position about 3 hours ago and still nothing has turned up. I took a day working at home for this - I could have just nipped to the Apple store at 10 and been out in half an hour.

I got done by O2 2 years ago, and decided never again. Went to Apple Upgrade and have just switched to EE, very painless.

On my 8 plus I had a case that was a rubber surround with a clear plastic back. Anyone seen a case like this for the Xs Max? I do miss that case. Have a soft TPU case atm and I hate it!

John Lewis, I see they offer there version of AppleCare for other iPhones but can’t find it as an option on the XS?

Anyone had experience from previous launches of buying it?

It seems better than AppleCare and cheaper!!

Given up trying to find a decent case that fits, so picking up an Apple silicone case from my local store in the morning.


Had this phone for 9 hours now, and it’s everything I hoped it would be, and more! The camera is incredible (coming from a 7).

Honestly it doesn’t really bother me, it’s not yellow just a warmer screen than the X I had.

The display really is amazing. When I got my 6s Plus I was never really happy with the display. It had weird light bleed at the top, never looked right even after a display swap, so it’s nice to be 100% satisfied!
