So I’m going to reserve my upgrade from the app as I’m on the upgrade program anyway.

I’m going to buy my watch thru my company perks site and get a bit of a discount.

I need to also reserve an Xs for my wife to get in the upgrade program, what’s the best way to do that guys?

just reminded me about the work corporate perks site... disappointed though as no discounts (only 2%) on the new phones or watches!

So when the launch page goes live, are we expecting two options - one for store pickup at set times and one for delivery?

Would it be possible do you think to order for delivery (as I won't be around on launch day / any week day for any reservations) and then go in and do the refund/reserve/iUP trick to try and get on iUP?

Id like to know this too! I cant remember how the store pick up option works.

Indeed 2% but when I checked yesterday the only discount was £15 on the AppleCare and nothing on the watch.
might just buy some apple care for the watch from there later on

So, less than 12 hours until pre-orders begin and I'm still undecided between Space Grey or Silver :/
I know the feeling.. this 1 less day from a Wednesday keynote has thrown me!

still not sure if I should try the Max, no idea on colour and ditto for the watch :(

It looks like nobody really knows!

Come 08:01 tomorrow, I’m firstly gonna open my Apple Store App and go to the iPhone Upgrade Program section (which is accessed when you press the small avatar icon in the top right of the app when looking at the either the ‘Discover’ tab or ‘Shop’ tab). This then shows you the phone which is elligable for upgrade.

At the moment, it just displays that I’m elligable to upgrade and that I can do this starting from 08:01 tomorrow morning but I’m hoping this message will change tomorrow morning to show Reservation information.

My EE Sim Only plan doesn't end for another 5 weeks, however there was an 'Early Upgrade Now' as I'm within 6 weeks of my contract ending. I planned on using this to upgrade to the iPhone XS.

Just logged into EE account and they've removed the early upgrade option.

Maybe its just me, but I don't feel like the delays and issues of last years X release wi materialise again this time around. I'm thinking its going to be a pretty smooth pre order tomorrow.

now if only I can decide on what I want :D
I've swayed towards Max Gold 256, hope it doesn't sell out in seconds...

Think I'm set on gold 256 or not... just not sure if i want to try the max..
I adapted to the plus pretty easily but find the form factor of my X sweet and I can fasten my laces without taking it out of my pocket :D but I know I'll regret not trying the Max so I'm going to give it a shot. I think...

hmm i wonder what the returns terms are for IUP in the first 14 days...
[doublepost=1536871843][/doublepost]thinking about IUP returns, I'd probably guess it would be the same 14 days and if I did so, they refund the initial £69 and cancel the loan agreement. Could then fall back to the Xs if I can't get use to the Max.

@snarlz case too?

This is the sole reason why I’m swapping my 8 Plus for the XS - I’ve had enough of removing my phone from my pockets just to bend down or sit down!!!

Should be same 14 day return, I buy outright so I'm not sure on that one. I had the Apple Olive Silicone on my X and the back peeled off! Might go for a Spigen skin type to reduce size, shame to hide it mind.

The only issue I see with iPhone Payments is if you decide to sell the phone on month 11 or recycle using one of the many sites is that it may not fetch more than the balance outstanding on your loan. In which case you would need to bridge the gap. The balance outstanding can easily be worked out though:

64gb iPhone Xs Max on iPhone Payments on month 11 E.g September 2019 (assuming your payments started being taken October 2018) would be £463.50 (£51.50 x 9 months I.e month 12-20). You would most likely get that price but it’s risk vs reward.

I personally prefer to hand back using the iPhone Upgrade Program on month 11, have apple clear the balance, close the loan and start again.

Each to their own though

Having done it with an iPhone 7, an iPhone 7 Plus, an iPhone 8 Plus and an iPhone X I can tell you this will never be the case. All four devices have had at least £100 equity in them at month 11. In fact my iPhone X has only had 10 payments + the £69 upfront cost.

£999-£69-£460.50=£469.50 left. I locked in £565 trade in. My wife’s iPhone 8 Plus was even better as we’d made 11 payments on it, due to it releasing a month earlier...
