You can’t refund and keep the same phone. The system doesn’t allow this.

You would have to keep your phone and try and reserve another in store. And they try the IPP program on that reserved phone and then refund the one you have.

You can, I did exactly that last year. Bought outright, delivered by ups, straight into store, refunded and then put straight back onto IUP

A lot of people talking about cases etc but no one talking about D-Brand skins.

Yes, they don't give the same protection as cases, but they are way cooler and make your phone look dope.

I have pre ordered the Camo skin for the Max.

Agreed, the genius last year told me I could do it. It’s just I never got back to store in time to do it
Me too two years ago when all the Barclays Finance servers went down - I paid in full and then came back the next day, refunded, and then did it on iUP

Not sure of the lifespan but the product is really high quality. I haven't had any issues with mine yet and I've had it on a few months.

Anyone on EE ugraded from an X to an XS/XS Max? If so, did you keep your handset or planning to send it back?

I’ve read on EE forums that EE are charging people £310 to keep it

I’m really struggling with what to do this year.

Was planning to go IUP with Xs Max 256 (got a reservation for launch day) and put my Three sim in which I pay £20 a month for 100GB. However, the same phone on contract is £69 a month with Three (£100 up front) for unlimited data. This is roughly what the IUP would be each month bar pennies and then add the £20 I currently pay and it’s becoming expensive.

I know the IUP includes Apple Care and in 12 months I can hand it back and get the next one out. But I could sell the one I get from Three and pay the contract off.

Maths tells me taking a contract with Three for £69 a month makes the most sense. Am I missing something?

Yes. AppleCare Plus. These phones are so expensive AC+ is advisable. Plus you can claim back any months not used. I took it out last year (£199) but am getting back £107 that I’ll put towards AC+ for my iPhone Xs Max.

I use a case and have insurance with my bank so not sure AC+ gives me anything

If it had been just a couple of £s extra I could have seen me switching. But it’s £93 a month for the equivalent so an extra £24 a month. That quickly adds up over 24 months.

I have been with a Three for years now and happy with the signal and speed where I live (NE).

I was offered by EE for upgrading to pay £680 up front for 256 max xs and then £53 a month for 20gb max plan which would be a £5 discount a month. I can't make my mind up. How did people get £100 of buying from very?
