I have the iPhone X right now but have a reserved Xs max to collect in store on 21st as I miss the bigger screen. I paid in full during the order but I’m thinking now IUP would be preferable, mostly for the included AC. I’ve seen other posts in this thread and others saying you can just ask to change in store at pickup time, but does anyone know if it’s possible to avail of the Apple trade in on my current X and take out IUP? So I wouldn’t be doing £1049 on IUP but it would be a lesser amount. Anyone done that before?

May I ask is that 20% government organisation discount specific to who you work for or is it an EE option that applies to all government organisations ? I ask because I work for a government department.
If you use this code: employee20hsd741
It’s an nhs exclusive discount, you can get it for your friends and family too. Give it a go.

I might give a couple of :apple: silicon cases a go this time, my current favourite colours are the stone & the forest green. I hope :apple: add the latter to mix

I am not a fan of the leather cases; I had the Midnight blue on my 7+ back then and it got dark in just 2 weeks with scratches.

I would typically get a cheap & cheerful case from Amazon; i had an ESR silicon snug fit clear case /chrome borders on the X for £6.99 , best buy i’d say:). I have one on order for the Max in the interim

I have a completely clear TPU case from ESR already which is the same one I use currently on my X. I have a Spigen all clear TPU Liquid Crystal case being delivered today.

Guys what kind of cases you will buy for your new iPhone XS?

I ordered 256GB Gold model and I always buy case but I don't know which one. Definitely not the leather case cos mine looks terrible on my 6S Plus.

What are your types?

Spigen one for me. Only one I’ve bought so far.

Thought about adding silicone case but for £45? Dunno...not when I could get 4 spigen ones for that price

I think spigen are superior myself from experience. I’ve had one on for two years and still looks mint. I’ve used their watch covers too and they are brilliant. Caseology are good also and some good deals on amazon.

I would have but that extortionate price of £99 is just plain ridiculous.

I have heard mixed reviews though - some saying that becuase the flap moves around, it will constantly light up the iPhone screen (the flap turns the screen on and off) when in a pocket and will end up causing battery drain.

....sorry but is one FUGLY looking case  - the back of it is gonna be one hell of a fingerprint magnet.
£99? It's £129!! (for the Max)

I work in a school, can I get discount?
Do you have a dedicated website for daily discounts ? It should be one that if you do.
The nhs have a website called nhsdiscountsdirect. We get money off holidays, online orders and phones etc. Sometimes the discounts aren’t worth it as you can get it cheaper elsewhere but they do an Apple discount too.

I think reservations are closed right now anyway.

However I’m 99% sure if you had a reservation and didn’t show up then you will lose the device and it goes into stock for the next day

Thanks.

Looking at other options. Does anyone know if I wanted to end the IUP early can I take my 8Plus to the Apple store and hand it back and they'll use it to write off the rest of the loan?
I only ask as for the same £69 up front payment that the IUP ask for and for only 47p a month more I can get an XS Max on O2 over 2 years. To do the same data on O2 sim only and the same handset via IUP will cost me £12.36 a month extra.
However, it all hinges on me getting Apple to take the 8Plus back and settle the loan agreement.

Yes local government does too. Between 7.5 and 12% discount across all major stores and retaillers. So for example, if i want a tv set thats priced at £1500 from Currys, I get 8% discount and purchase £1500 worth of vouchers instantly but only pay £1380 for them. Its a great scheme

Has anyone had any good customer loyalty incentives from EE. I am currently paying £37 a month for a Sim only plan that gives me 20gb plus £5 for my Apple watch LTE plan plus £10 for Apple music.
My annual contract expires on the 16th September so two days time.
I called EE to ask what discounts they could offer to renew my sim only contract. I don't want a phone or watch as i have ordered an Xs Max and Stainless Steel watch directly from Apple which i get next Friday so i am looking for Sim only.
EE can offer me no discounts other than a £4 reduction on my phone plan if I apply the 20% government organisation discount that i am entitled to.
Very disappointed in EE. I would have thought they would have tried harder
That's an awful price for SIM only. I've just signed up to unlimited texts and minutes and 40GB of data for £20 per month on a 12 month agreement. Should be £25, but I get 20% off through work.

No, afraid not, only healthcare. We do get unidays Apple discount, but that doesn’t help with EE lol

Cool, very similar. If you search ee or any other network it should bring up your deals and codes xxx

Try using that code I posted a little earlier, if done over the phone or online it gives you 20% off your tariff each month.

Can I add that code retrospectively, at any time? Can I ask where you got it in case they ask me?

Tell them you work for the nhs and got it from your employers website. They can get a manager to add it after an order is placed if your phone hasn’t been dispatched . Should be fine on a pre order. If you don’t ask, you don’t get lol

Is it a generic code or unique to you?
