Time, because it rules EVERYTHING!
I'm sure the XR Screens will look lovely, but they're not even 1080p... on a 6.1" display. That's disappointing in my opinion.

Could be, it needs to be seen in person I think, I have made comments in here this week claiming the same, but now think this is Apple, and they do have the best LCD screens and it could actually be pretty good.

Have to say not sure what case to get for my XS... I usually go with an apple leather case but they are a bit bulky for my liking. Anyone have any recommendations for ultra slim cases? I want something that basically one step up from a skin. Seen a few on amazon they have decent reviews but its hard to tell how thick they are without buying them.

Damn, that’s a good deal!

I pay £16.99 for a sim only deal with EE and get 10GB data (which is actually enough!), unlimited texts and calls.

I pay just over £11 a month with a loyalty and work discount for 22gb and unlimited texts and calls on EE.

Thank you for that. I used that code and got 20% off on my SIM only upgrade. I now have the £25/month plan that gives me 40GB data plus unlimited minutes and texts for £20/month. Before I was on a £21/month plan which gave me 18GB of data plus unlimited minutes and texts. So I'm no paying £1 less a month but getting an additional 22GB of data.
Fantastic. That’s great. Glad I could help x

Changed my mind voted twice.
I'm ordering xS tonight.
No idea when it could be delivered from 21st sept via sky mobile.
And I'll loose wifi calls for possibly a few months with this change of provider.
Keeping ipad 10.,5 with o2-not sure why thev'e gone quite expensive for latest mobiles, guess it something to do within competitors.

No-one here considered BT? I'm on SIMO and get 30GB Data, Unlimited Calls, Unlimited Texts for £20. Because I have BT Plus I also get Extra Speed 4G and Double Data (so actually get 60GB). They run on the EE network (after all they do own them now) and the network supports Wifi Calling and VoLTE. The only thing that you don't get at the moment is Visual Voicemail.

Having a change of mind Re my order

I paid upfront for a 256gb XS max delivery Friday 21st; have been persuaded by many people on this thread that IUP is a sensible, preferable option but have a couple of questions

1) Does anyone know the monthly IUP payments of an XS max 256gb?

2) Any advice on the best way to swop over from upfront payment to IUP? I’ve read a couple of people here saying to go to my local store and refund / repurchase it on IUP there but my nearest store is Regent St which will be carnage on launch day. I was considering waiting till the following week to swop over but don’t trust myself with an unopened phone for a whole weekend(!!). Another option could be to book an IUP pick up when the reservations open again on Friday and use the delivered upfront payment phone until then, returning it by post for a refund when I pick up my IUP phone. That’s on the basis that Apple will accept a used phone which I have been told is the case.

Probably made a real mess of explaining my situation there but any advice would be gratefully received.

Does anyone know when we can reserve for the upgrade program again? Is it Friday morning at 6am?

Indeed !

I have my Apple Store reservation booked in for 9am so will be spending all morning at my local branch, upgrading and trying out the new watches as well (I’ll be deciding there and then whether to upgrade my Series 0 Watch!).

My series 3 watch is so much better than my series 0. Battery can last 2 days easily.

Did you do this online or over the phone?

Im on EE and as soon as BT start stamping there mark over them, then im off!

EE customer support ive always found helpful but BT are by far the worst ive ever had to deal with. As soon as my BT Sport deal is up, thats going as well!

Personally, I would never go back to 2 year contracts. If you decide to do this, what are you gonna do this time next September when the next iPhone is released? You’ll be tied into your 2 year contract and won’t be able to upgrade or anything until the following year!!

Not sure I agree with this argument...surely the answer would be to sell the phone on, and use the proceeds to upgrade?

That’s what I said earlier, I was told I had to do it online
They can get a manager to add it on to existing order but I suppose it’s how helpful the agent is when ringing. My phone had blocked the ee online security text message pin to confirm my order, so I had to ring but they got a manager to add it on for me .

I might give a couple of :apple: silicon cases a go this time, my current favourite colours are the stone & the forest green. I hope :apple: add the latter to mix

I am not a fan of the leather cases; I had the Midnight blue on my 7+ back then and it got dark in just 2 weeks with scratches.

I would typically get a cheap & cheerful case from Amazon; i had an ESR silicon snug fit clear case /chrome borders on the X for £6.99 , best buy i’d say:). I have one on order for the Max in the interim

That’s what leather is supposed to do.
