Nice. Was the email confirmation from carphone warehouse or Vodafone?
No, it was from Carphone Warehouse :) . First mail was with the order, second was that order is confirmed and waits to be shipped.

What's funny - they say how much I will pay upfront and monthly, but no info about data packet and general contract details. I can't remember how much data I will have - a lot, more than I need. I took it for phone, contract is less important. It's way better than offers from 3 last year, when for this price you don't even get roaming.

Disaster has struck! I just checked my order and somehow the wrong postcode is down for the delivery address. Rest of the address is correct but postcode is wrong by about 15 Miles. I called Apple and they can’t change it now until it goes to courier. They said this may affect the delivery date.

Has anyone had experience of this before?

If you have the phone shouldn’t be a issue to swap plenty did it last year
I had to buy on credit card than IPP after all appointments were gone. I be going in next week after the launch to swap it on IPP
Apart from being able to spread the cost, is there any other advantage to IPP?

Anyone managed to get a deal on EE
Already got a contract with them for my Son’s S8
There additional offer of a second line at £21.50 for the 40GB shows on there web store
I can get the above for £20 with employee discount just wondered is it worth ringing up to see what they can do

I got the 256GB XS on EE for £70/m, no up front cost.

I was on a £22/m 20GB Sim Only Max Plan, however it was worked out the same price to get the phone on contract, plus I got 100GB data instead of 20GB. Also saved paying out £1150 straight away.

Buying outright
£1150 for the phone / 24 = £48/m
£22/m for 20GB Max Sim Only
Total: £70

Buying on contract
£70/m for 100GB Max Plan.

No.

And the bad thing is, Barclay's perform a new credit check, close the previous account and open a new account every time you upgrade via IUP which means a closed credit agreement on your file from 6 years of account closure for each annual upgrade.

I see that we have created our own UK thread away from the EU thread!

Anyway, has anyone ordered from Vodafone? They text my order number but when I go to track the order it says that my order number is invalid!

They were a bit of a shambles to be honest as you could only call them to order on the day.

I ordered an Apple Watch 4 as well but I was not overly confident with the sales reps that I was talking to.

Apparently, they only stock Gold aluminium stainless steel in the 40mm and the darker grey stainless steel in the 44mm.
Happens every year - We even have our own Patron Saint. He's called Francis.

Is it just me or are people obsessed with credit checks? How do you even know about these things?

I am coming from a Note 9 I left apple a couple of years ago for screen real estate but now the Max is here I’m back!.

I have just seen Three UK have the XS MAX 64GB for £64 a month with a £99 upfront fee. This is the unlimited data plan (AYCE)... That’s a crazy undercut on other places I’ve seen for a two year contract not including apple obviosuly.

I used to ironically work for Three UK and have my discount employee sim still and I can’t find anything to match it yet so I am keeping that and have purchased an XS Max through apple. My delivery date though is 24 Sept - 1st Oct.

I agree three speeds are touch and go based on network traffic but it’s fine for what I use it for and regularly pull 80-90 Mbps in the town I live. I am not a fan boy I will go to any network that offers me the best price!. Just saw the price today while strolling through best options.

Although on the flipside, if those credit files are shown as satisfactorily kept up to date and closed then arguably helps with your credit record.

Very happy to be honest was looking moving over to vodafone 20gb today.

New customers getting better deals than me and I’ve been a customer for 16 years now.

Might have to have a word with EE :p:D

anywho anyone recommend a slim case with covers all sides and doesn’t scratch the sides of the phone?

Just bought a Spigen one but didn’t realise it doesn’t cover the top and bottom.

Not to fussed on colour at the moment.
