Quite a few of us in precisely this situation. We are hoping for delivery at the end of next week, ie the 21st or 22nd May.
I’m hopeful but not convinced they’ll arrive before 27th. I think we’ve yet to see anyone with a date in their order tracking earlier than 27th and there is too much consistency with other vendors, Amazon and the networks all saying 27th for launch.

My gut feel is that initially Apple were probably aiming for a 21st launch in the UK but haven’t got enough volume shipped here in time, and given their pattern of Friday launches the next window is 27th.

Ok, so have just checked online with TechData (a large UK IT distie) and they appear to have a few models in very small numbers (less than 20 per model) arriving with them on 17/05.

The majority of other stock all appears to be slated for arrival 01/06.

So the 17/05 date would indeed point to some but extremely limited availability on 21st.

Are you using MusiMagpie? They’re giving me £247.50 for my 5 year old iPad Pro 128GB WiFi + 4G which I think is very fair.

The price hasn’t dropped in the last 3 weeks so I “refreshed” my offer the other day to give me another fortnight plus.

Been ipadless for a while now - wanted to send mine in to MM in case of any argument about price. My iPhone 12 battery is not enjoying the attention :)

Guessing no one in the UK has had their order move. I got 21-27 originally. It settled to 27th in the apple store app and it still just shows processing.
Ordered at like 5 mins past due to the bag bug removing it everytime I added it, and money still hasn’t been taken.
Worth noting I also ordered an Apple TV remote and that’s showing the same date and status

That’s good. Mine is a generation 1, 9.7”. I used the same code to get an extra £22.50. No complaints whatsoever.

yh it’s not a bad price really bud. Could probably get more on Fea-Bay but to many scammers to deal with. It’s a Gen 2 12.9 256GB cellular. Decent iPad for someone whoever gets it coz it was replaced by Apple Jan just gone.

I agree, eBay can be too much stress these days as scams are rife and you risk losing your precious piece of kit.

I actually checked out recently completed listings on eBay for the model I’m getting rid of and the price they went for was pretty close to the MusicMagpie price except that with eBay and PayPal fees you lose something like 13% of the sale price.

Music magpie also don’t want the OG box or the charger! So you get to keep that as well (charger is more useful than the box)

just read that winner coz the cable is long gone and using a Anker 6ft version but do have the box to send it in
Sending in the box is best as it’s less likely to break in transit but yeah I’ve sold them some phones too and they never want the cable so it meant I got to keep my plug from my 11 Pro for my 12 Pro

It’s always a bonus that you get to keep the charger and cable. ?

I always keep the original box as they do enhance the retail value if you decide to sell privately or alternatively they are handy to use to send the device to MM or similar.

I've sold mine to Mazuma. They were very quick.
It was locked to EE so I sent it in and declared the EE lock. But I managed to unlock it before they processed it and they upped the amount they offered to match the unlocked version. I've also used them in the past for iPhones.

I just checked Mazuma. They value my flawless iPad Pro 1 9.7” 128GB 4G at £155 in comparison to £247.50 from MusicMagpie. Very significant difference.

I guess it depends on the device.
For the iPad Pro (2020) 11inch 256GB WiFi + Cellular, Mazuma offered £405, but MusicMagpie offered £400.
So unless I had a voucher for MusicMagpie (which I didn't), Mazuma was the better choice.

In our topic though, has anyone heard what John Lewis will do with the release? They are still quite silent.

Isn’t John Lewis first come first served when you order on release day

With voucher, Music Magpie are offering £350 for my pristine 10.5 512 cellular Pro. Mazuma are offering £270, Envirofone are offering 211!

Nuts!
