Does anyone know if Apple change their order status on Sundays or will no shipping activity happen on a Sunday?

I didn't expect them to be doing much today. So they will probably be just as busy tomorrow. This near to launch I think its all hands etc. Worth looking occasionally anyway.

Just noticed this at the bottom of my order status page on Apple UK site,

*It may take up to 24 hours for shipment tracking information to be updated on our carriers' web sites

If its China which it probably will be guaranteed they there will be more frantic action tomorrow.....:D

Mine has just changed from Not Yet Shipped to Shipment Dispatched and I have also received the email saying so!

Tracking details working already but not much info there.

Still on not yet shipped... Argh!!!

Ordered 2 64gb 3g ipads, cases and docks at 5am may 10....

Too early for any panic though.

Is that everyone now at least got to the stage of prepared for shipment.

Nah, mine still hasn't changed: ordered on the 10th, confirmation email came about 10am iirc. Case has shipped though.

still plenty of time for it to be shipped and still get here by Friday...

is it possible to preorder the ipad on the web, so i can get it in an apple store in london? im from norway and can get very cheap flight tickets

so the only shot i got, is to be at a store when it opens, and try to get one? and if i travel down, can they denied me to get one, since im norwegian?

I don't see why. Quite a lot of European buyers bought in the US. A long way to come for a disappointment.

I think if you're paying by card it doesn't matter where you are from.

Your best bet is to go to the store and try your luck. £33 is quite cheap for a flight but please don't forget that you will probably go to central london from Stansted which is far far away and that will set you back about £25 on a return ticket for the bus. Add hotel/transport and your cost will raise.

Just something for you to think about if you haven't yet.

Mine is still not yet shipped! (UK and US stores) This is probably one of the most agonising waits in my life worse than waiting for exam results lol

i have heard you cant pay with cash, so i think credit card is the only thing that works, i know Stensted is far far away, but its the only way to get there:p and yes i have thinked about the expenses!
