Still waiting for Teams and Skype for business to come native support for m1.
Skype for Business Online is about to be killed off so is extremely unlikely to get universal support.

As Teams is just a fancy wrapper for a web browser, not sure why it's taking so long to be updated...

No, Skype for bussniess will not be gone for many years. We can’t use teams due to security but we host our own Skype for bussniess servers.

and until they have something like that for teams I don’t think MS will kill Skype for bussniess.

Interesting to know, didn't know Teams had security issues.
Entire family of mine does WFH now, my company is g-suite full on.
But one family member works for the state and the other one for a big pharma, both use Teams constantly, for calendar, meetings and chat. LOL.

When is Skype for Business going away?

Microsoft first announced the retirement of Skype for Business Online in July 2019 — with the official expiration date on July 31, 2021. After that, the platform will no longer be accessible or supported. The integration of Skype for Business with third-party audio-conferencing providers also will stop working, according to Microsoft.

I’m working for the gov and due to cloudact we can’t use teams as it’s hosted by Microsoft on there servers and they can collect our data.

Time frame seems to line up with WWDC2021 & the imminent release of macOS 12. I wonder if they’re bringing an M1 version of BootCamp back?
No. Craig Federighi made it clear its on Microsoft to bring about Windows for M1.

Right. And it’s up to Apple to release an updated version of BootCamp.
Not required. And highly unlikely... Apple apparently has no interest in supporting the competition. CF made it clear that if Microsoft wants Windows on ASi, its up to them. And understandable this is. Why would Apple spend money and development effort?

Right. And it’s up to Apple to release an updated version of BootCamp.
It was made clear that the supported path for running alternate OSes on ASi is to use virtualization. MS doesn't currently have a retail SKU for WoA. It is up to MS to license it. Once that is done, then you can install and run it in a VM.

Apple will not create BootCamp for WoA. At least not for the foreseeable future.

Everyone keeps assuming that’s the case. But if they’d never do it, wouldn’t they also have removed the BootCamp app from Big Sur on M1 Macs? Maybe not. Who knows. But considering how well WoA works in the Parallels 16 Tech Preview, and knowing how much Microsoft loves money, I’d assume they are actively using M1 Macs to test. Anyway, getting off topic. There’s like 4 other very long posts/threads on here about all that 😂

Fresh off the presses the nightly build of AdGuard for Mac is now universal. You can get it from this link.
Is that the same version available on the App Store?

I'm at work so i can't access App store, but does it state anything in the change log in App store?

Just got an Email about Parallels 16.5 officially being released today With M1 Support. I already had a license for Parallels 16, but had to redownload the DMG and install over my current setup.

this is a nightly build, stable is few weeks away, wish posted would say that.
So native M1 support is only in nightly build for now.
