Pic no Reddit showing the traffic light symbol at every instance along a planned route.

And album art now showing in beta 2!!

Oddly I don't see any album artwork on that screen in Beta 2 (using a Pioneer NEX)

I asked this question yesterday, but as it added it to a previous older post of mine, I feel like it might have gotten lost:

Has anyone with iOS 13 installed and submitted a correction/error report on Maps for a business/location gotten it corrected?

I've reported several of them (wrong locations, wrong names, etc). I used to get things corrected within a few days usually, but I have some reported weeks ago, and still not corrected.

Some things I noticed on my commute home today with beta 2. Daytime UI has it so that the ETA/travel time/distance area is back to black instead of the light background from beta 1. Also, the split view now shows ETA, which is nice. Lastly, I feel like traffic isn’t showing properly. There were some slowdowns on my commute home that should have at least been yellow. I’ll keep an eye on that tomorrow.

Ah! You beat me to it on the ETA info! That’s a solid add.

Only thing is I feel they could make it use less space to the left and right of the ETA, but I wonder if they are planning to put anything else in that space in a future beta??
I agree: it has the feel of a "rush add" to the UI. A good one, but not necessarily with final polish. I'd still like to see the temperature on these maps, so I don't need to go back to the vehicle's own home screen to see it. One can hope...

I may be imagining things, but Maps seems to be offering up more efficient routes than in the past. Heading to Boston today, Maps had me take a route near my house that is marginally longer but does not involve using a very very rugged unsaved road. Usually Maps wants me to go the rugged route (and I ignore it) but today it had me go my normal route. Not sure whether to attribute this to machine learning or beta 2, but good nonetheless. Also, this evening, it has me taking a different but what looks to be a more optimal route back to my hotel from dinner.

Promising!

I haven’t submitted any corrections in a while, but I just sent one for a nearby business that closed permanently so I’ll update you if the correct it.

I'm still on iOS 12.3.1, and my corrections have been applied to the map...sort of. I sent in like six corrections the other week. Within days, I received notifications that everything was updated. But only three of them were updated as I had asked them to be. The other three were exactly the same. One became worse.

So I re-sent them today.

What kind of corrections?

I would expect a lag or stuff simply not getting fixed on the old map level. Or maybe it doesn't matter?

It seems as if they are really ready to launch major parts of the country over the summer and want the new maps to be as updated as possible. Curious if there is a stop date on old map layers while they focus on the new ones. Or, again, does it matter? Are the corrections automatically applied to a layer that is shared by both?

Business names. For some reason, a number of doctor offices in my neighborhood were showing Last Name First Name, which looked weird. So I corrected them to First Name Last Name.

My local library branch had an incorrect branch name, so I tried to correct it, but they didn't accept it the first time.

I noticed this in Boston as well.

Here in China 7-Eleven use a weird font in their logo that looks like 7-ᴇʟᴇᴠᴇn. In their normal everyday communications they just refer to themselves as 7-Eleven.

On Apple Maps it's 7-ELEVEn and I've given up trying to have them change it :( Apple even has a 7-ELEVEn category for all the 7-Elevens.

That sounds like a change 7-Eleven needs to submit via the Business/POI edit site. I believe Apple leaves it up to corporations to provide the info for those changes and their only input is around specific log placements if approved.

If someone has already claimed those businesses as an "owner" through a prior change, I wonder if they have to go through them first to alter?

Wow! I didn't know 7-11 is in China. Slurpees for everyone!

I sent in corrections not even two hours ago, and I just got notification that one of them was corrected already. Noice.
I sent in my correction of my street (actually, a shared driveway which is designated a street) 90 minutes ago. As regular readers may recall (lol), Apple has labeled my neighbors driveway as my "street", not my driveway. Google has it right. I sent Apple both a marked up satellite shot from Maps showing where my street ought to be labeled and also the Google Maps map view showing it in the correct location. We'll see if they fix. They have not on the previous 4 or 5 times I've submitted it....

I would imagine that's something that will change once your area gets updated with the new maps. Before then, I think such changes need to still be approved via their third party sources or TomTom?

Interestingly, a week or two after Apple Maps updated parking lot data in my neighborhood, Google swept in and did the same, adding new parking lot data to Google Maps in my area.
