I'm still waiting on some reports to be corrected from the first week of June, but this afternoon, I had multiple notices of corrections/updates I submitted having been updated.

Some of the changes were made, and some weren't:

However, the most interesting one was the following:

So, earlier this year, a Dairy Queen Chill and Grill was built and opened in Dawson, GA. They opened in June, and I submitted a report the weekend prior to opening.

However, and this is weird, but the listing keeps switching back and forth (for me) from being located in Dawson to being shown in Albany, GA on Dawson Road, where another Dairy Queen is located.

However, even when it's in the right city, it's at the wrong location, still. They moved it, but they moved it to the wrong location (a block or two, which is closer than the block farther away that it was). They also ignored my note that the business accepts Apple Pay. Strangely, there's an option to toggle Accepts Apple Pay off if the business is listed as accepting it, but no ability to toggle it on for accepting Apple Pay.

I think the issue with it moving back and forth between two cities might have to do with a bug I'm experiencing on iOS 13 and iOS 13.1, and that's that I'm seeing a bunch of old places that used to be in my Favorites still show up in Maps like they're in my Favorite places, but they're no longer in my Favorites.

I received quite a few notifications over the weekend informing me of updates from submissions submitted as far back as June, and as recently as last week.

The DQ Grill & Chill now correctly shows up in the right location and correctly shows that they accept Apple Pay, but still has an incorrect entrance location, and still suffers from the bug that sometimes shows it in a wrong city.

I'm also seeing something I have noticed before. Some POIs are showing one name on the map, but longer names (or alternate names) on the listing itself. One name has a typo, but there's no way to edit it, so I guess I have to explain within the Optional Information section.

Another recent submission was fixed, as the Albany restaurant of "San Joe's Cantina Grill" shows up as "San Joe's" now on the POI card, but still incorrectly shows as "San Joe's Meixcan & Grille" (what Yelp previously had it listed as) is showing up on the map. I'll give it a few days, and then see if it's not updated by then.

I'm hoping my recent submission with my development lots and addresses (which was used for the current maps) will be updated in the new maps.

I had similar issues with a local library branch. My nearby library was listed as "Queens Library - Flushing", which is wrong, because the Flushing branch is a mile away. I issued a correction to change it to "Queens Library - Mitchell-Linden". A few days later, Apple Maps changed it to "Queens Borough Public Library", and that was that. But if i touch it, the expanded details still calls it the Flushing branch. I'm going to try again.

another day and no new maps. I did notice yesterday that at some points the 3d buildings just stop. I dont know if that means they are still updating the maps in my area?

that screenshot was in Everett, MA going towards Malden.
Both cities are roughly 3-4 miles away from Boston,MA.

Apple put 3D buildings in most “major” cities using flyover Lidar data, but they are typically limited to the immediate city and surrounding area typically within a set boundary like a highway loop or major airport.

Yeah, as Moz said, most major metropolitan areas always had 3D buildings within maybe ten miles of the city's "center". New York's being perhaps larger, as it stretches quite a bit far north than one might expect. You're just seeing the line where it cuts off.

Once you get the new maps, 3D buildings will be everywhere.

Maps has had 3D buildings in the inner ring suburbs of Boston for some time now. I regularly drive in Commonwealth Ave from 128 and the buildings have started as you approach the Newton-Boston city line at Boston College. A mile west of BC, there were no buildings shown. I assume its similar around town (say a radius of 6-7 miles from the Common or thereabouts).

Now, with new Maps, 3D buildings are everywhere in the Boston metro (and throughout the Northeast).

Mine was corrected in a Maps area that hasn't been updated... yet. I don't know WHY exactly they've started back updating corrections in my area, but my hope is that maybe they're about to include it in the next batch of updates areas. Either way, it's nice to finally see these corrections made.

Hopefully some of these iOS 13.x Maps bugs will get fixed soon, making it even better.

Careful what you wish for..... I lost my Home address

Once you're on iOS 13, you can adjust your home location in Maps temporarily until they get the situation fixed.

I had the new maps for the Northeast on my Mac, but that has recently disappeared.

However, as of today...I am getting responses and updates from Apple regarding my feedback in the app. Some of them were reports that I sent a few months ago and I also got an update from feedback I sent just within the last week.

I think it will come in parallel with iOS 13 (but not be dependent upon it, of course)
