Wow! Did they release traffic lights and stop signs for the entire country? I have it in my area in western Michigan.

EDIT: I think this is the case...others please confirm if you can. That's huge!
My BFE town in south-central Missouri has traffic lights and stop signs.

If (for any reason) there was any doubt about whether or not this is a wide release...the press release just came from Apple. Also mentioned was Look Around. The only cities listed in the press release as having Look Around...are the cities we currently have covered. So there has been no change. But what they DID say was "many more to come" (which is also something that was not even being debated/questioned). So we'll probably start seeing that rollout begin to accelerate sometime soon, hopefully!

Nice to see the US rollout completed!

Living in California, I've been lucky to have access to the new maps since shortly after iOS 13 launched. I also have a vehicle with CarPlay. I've been navigating regularly with the new maps for many months and have been quite impressed with the work Apple has done. The polish and refinement of their maps are now second to none. What a change from even a year ago. It is so easy to follow while driving, especially with the stoplight and stop sign indications. Directions and traffic are highly accurate. And it just looks so nice on the big CarPlay display in our vehicle.

I almost never use Google Maps now, except for Street View where Look Around isn't yet available. Wherever it is available, it looks utterly amazing and is very useful. Good job Apple!

Woo hoo! A hard reset and they just showed up on my phone. Guessing today is wide release day!!

Confirmed on my son’s phone

First glance, doesn’t look like Look Around has expanded at all.

this is the dumbest thing to do or a way to launch it.

It’s NOT necessary....it just triggers the server side switch then instead of waiting for it to happen on its own....I was just impatient.

Three other phones in my house had it when checked without any rest or on/off.

ahhh gotcha

I notice stop lights and stop signs only show up when I actually set a route active. Just looking around the maps they don't show.

just like speed limits don’t show unless the route is active.

I checked Fayetteville, NC and Raleigh, NC with a route loaded in. How are they supposed to look? Do you have to actually be driving to see them? I think I have the new version as the 3D indicators show over various cities when I zoom out.

Despite being a pretty small feature, I have to say that after making a few trips while using turn-by-turn...the stop lights/signs feature is easily one of my favorites! Granted I've only used it in areas I'm familiar with, so I already know what's ahead of course...but in an unfamiliar area...this could be a big help for people!

Last night, I started getting stop signs and stoplights included on my maps and in my directions in Columbus, OH. Super cool!

After using it earlier today, I am getting the stop signs and stoplights also, in addition to speed limits on roads where I wasn’t getting them before. I use Waze a lot, so I cannot recall if Apple maps previously had my vehicle speed, but I don’t see it now. Can this be added in settings? Also, are directions crowd-sourced like Waze to account for traffic conditions?

Maps never showed vehicle speed. Traffic info (thereby routing) is based off of nearly every iPhone on the road.

Had to do a trip from LA to Phoenix and spend a week in Phoenix over the last week and took the opportunity to use both Google Maps and Apple Maps. Here are my findings using both as directions and general lookup / planning for my driving.

Overall I am pleased with the improvements in Apple Maps. Apple has taken a big step forward.
Google still is my go to at this point - better traffic, more route choices, and Street View. I did find for directions both do a good job, usually. See note below on road closures.

Personal note: in many cases Apple Maps reminds me more of an atlas than a road map.

Biggest note: Apple Map directions would at times get the name of the upcoming street incorrect. This usually was a result of the street having a name and highway designation. I did not run into this with Google. The name shown / spoken matched the posted name.
Second Biggest note: Apple Maps failed to note a closed street And directed me right to it.

Apple:
Would sometimes incorrectly pronounce the street name. Is this tied to Siri?
Did not offer the best or good alternative routes. Could be the traffic accuracy was not up to par.
The Map view would not match the satellite view for some locations.
The satellite view was frequently out-dated.
I would see 3D to 2D to Blank in some map areas. Frustrating.
Liked the little touches from Apple Maps like identifying when to turn into a parking lot.

Google:
Would sometimes offer a route that made little sense. Like routing through a neighborhood with speed humps.
Liked the fact that traffic was usually spot on. Helped with planning.
The satellite view was generally more up to date in Google.
Street view is a definite boon over the offering by Apple.

Here are some examples of items I ran into.

Peoria Sport Complex in Peoria Arizona. I like the detail Apple applied to the map. I prefer the traffic information from Google.

I-10 and the 303 in Arizona. Both are okay however the contrast in Apple Map leaves much to be desired. Also note the road closure that is missing in Apple. Definite contrast in detail from the Apple view at the Sports Complex.

Once again Apple is like a mix of detail and misses. Planning a trip I would rather use Google at this point. Better driving information. Once again road closures are missing from Apple. I ran into this in the Phoenix area a number of times.

In Camarillo (Ca) here is a spot where Apple fixed it then unfixed it. The Apple Map version does not match the satellite either. (See below).

Any issues I noted were reported.
