Weird. Maybe your MacBook just doesn't like the sn750. Is there any way for you to try another nvme drive?I had it already set to hibernate mode 0. The only things that change are higher battery drain and crashes less often

Quite a lot of diferente sad not seen it before (sabrenet drives are cheaper than the wd)i don't have any sleep/hibernation issues with my early 2015 13" MBP WD SN750/sintech small adapter combination, its just runs a little hotter than Sabrent rocket 1TB.
For real? Thats weird that yours doesnt crash but mine does. What settings/specific adapter do you use? I lose 35% of battery in a night with hibermate mode set to 0, and still a reboot.i don't have any sleep/hibernation issues with my early 2015 13" MBP WD SN750/sintech small adapter combination, its just runs a little hotter than Sabrent rocket 1TB.
Unfortunately i dont have another nvme ssd. Only spinning rust..Weird. Maybe your MacBook just doesn't like the sn750. Is there any way for you to try another nvme drive?
apple don't make SSD or other hardware, they design some parts and let them produce BUT in case like SSD or other parts like RAM they just use "normal" parts.(in my case a samsung SSD was mounted in the mac before)For real? Im not sure but it might be that the macbook doesnt support sata drives. This forum describes the usage of nvme drives. They look similar but operate differently.Hi,
I have a late 2013 MBP Retina which came with 128gb standard.
I bought a WD Blue 3d NAND SATA M.2 2280 1TB and the adaptor recommended in the original post. I cloned the drive and it successfully boots over usb into the cloned operating system.
Once installed internally the mbp will not find the drive to boot off internally. My MBP is running Mojave with Boot Rom version 156.xxxx
Am i missing something here?
Thanks.
You are correct, the late 2013 Retina does not support m.2 sata drives.Im not sure but it might be that the macbook doesnt support sata drives. This forum describes the usage of nvme drives. They look similar but operate differently.
In settings, power savings (the lightbulb). There should be an option for “put storage to sleep” or sth similar.hello! i have a macbook pro 2015 13" with the small sintech adapter and adata sx8200 pro 1Tb SSD. Everything is running perfectly since a year. OS is Mac Catalina 10.15.4.
I have only one small issue: When I put the macbook in standby/sleep mode overnight, it drains around 20% battery every night and the macbook gets a little warm all the time. I did not change hibernation mode nor anything else.
Is there a workaround to change this behaviour?

here's my 2015 13” MBP sleep/hibernation results overnight just 1% battery loss that's almost 8 hrs deep sleep.hello! i have a macbook pro 2015 13" with the small sintech adapter and adata sx8200 pro 1Tb SSD. Everything is running perfectly since a year. OS is Mac Catalina 10.15.4.

At first I reset the SMC, it only fixed the auto-brightness of the display, but not the auto-regulation of the keyboard backlight. Then I did the reset of the PRAM/NVRAM and it magically fixed the auto-regulation of the keyboard backlight too. Thanks a lot!
Could you confirm that the MacBook is an early 2015? This crashing is something that I have only experienced when using a mid-2014 Pro and mid-2013 Air with a nvme drive.

Do you have the Sintech adapter than needs kapton tape?I have a mid2013 air with Sintech short adapter and Sabrent 512gb. I installed it 2019 April. So I used like 1 year. First months my MacBook crashes once a week or once a two weeks. But now My MacBook always crashing. Sometimes while surfing in chrome, sometimes while watching a video on youtube, sometimes after sleep.
After the crash,
Sometimes can't find disk and folder icon shows but after one more restart no problem.
Sometimes don't accept user passwords. I don't have capital letters in my password and I am sure writing correct but sometimes says wrong. (This happen only after the crash and I restarted one more time and problem solves.)
All these things happen once a day or twice a day. Reactions after crash not so often(two or three a week)
I am on Catalina 10.15.2 and here is my pmset:
Bash:System-wide power settings: Currently in use: standbydelaylow 10800 standby 0 halfdim 1 hibernatefile /var/vm/sleepimage powernap 0 gpuswitch 2 disksleep 10 standbydelayhigh 86400 sleep 5 (sleep prevented by sharingd) autopoweroffdelay 28800 hibernatemode 0 autopoweroff 0 ttyskeepawake 1 displaysleep 5 highstandbythreshold 50 acwake 0 lidwake 1
If anyone has a solution, I will be very happy.
The Black Sintech adapter has tape btw and I applied additional Kapton tape.Do you have the Sintech adapter than needs kapton tape?
Okay. I asked because I have 1 short, black adapter and 1 early revision short, green adapter adapter that needs tape which is why I asked. The Black Sintech adapter has tape btw and I applied additional Kapton tape.
The hibernation issue exists for all 2013 and 2014 MacBooks running a stock bootrom. The only way to solve the hibernation issue with a nvme drive is to flash a modded bootrom.Hi guys,
Got a MBP late 2013 model with 159.0.0.0.0.0 firmware. Was wondering if the hiberbation issue has been resolved with the 159 firmware? The original 256 gb storage getting kind of tight. Thinking of a WD SN550 1 TB drive. Any suggestions be appreciated..
Thanks

Also wonder if that 'NVMEFix' Kext will fix some of the issues you guys are having?

Don't think the hibernation will be fixed by Apple. macOS has supported NVME since High Sierra and the hibernation has been present since then to now.Thanks. Guess I'll wait then even though I do own a flash programmer I value my MBP way too much..
Thanks
