5hrs would be fine. The length of time varies by store and chat could give you a specific time. You might have to wait for current appointments first though. Contact Apple and see if they can change the appointment 5hrs later. If not keep it and show up late.I’m pretty sure the answer to this is yes, but can you go to your in store pickup appointment later than the check-in window? I can longer make the appointment I originally made in checkout and need to go 5 hours later.
I have never understood why anyone would want to be near an Apple Store during an introduction for a new product.Remember, if you have in-store pickup don't bother tracking. The price you pay, considering how much fun tracking is!
Yep magnetic it snaps to the edge of the case. Looking back through Apple stores I finally noticed one of the pics shows it detached. I’m happy with the case and my ipp 12.9 m1 does not fit in it.So the cover detaches from the back casing? Is it magnetic magnetic attachmen?

It's not like the old days of standing in line for hours. Even phone launches, I see minimal lines, like ten people is now a huge line. As opposed to the 100 or more back in the day.
And past iPads, store activity looks no different than any normal day, you wouldn't even know there was a new launch.
I don’t even visit on a weekend. Not real fond of crowds. Better things to do. My new IPP 13 will be delivered to my front door on Wednesday.
Agreed. With the appointment system, store pick up is a fairly efficient process. A few weeks ago I went to the Apple store for an appointment to pick up an item. Checked in by someone near the door, "stand over there please" and 5 minutes later I was out the door. Genius Bar appointments are more hectic but to address a battery issue it was important to get the device checked and have the results entered in the record they keep. Busy or not, I have always found the staff to be attentive and helpful. As noted previously when you go for an appointed pick up, the time is set. UPS/FEDEX delivery times in my area are variable. I am reluctant to have expensive items sitting at my front door when I am not there to receive them. It's not like the old days of standing in line for hours. I made that mistake once. On the launch day for the iPhone X, I went to the apple store about 5 am. There were already several people in line. I wanted to see the display phone before I made up my mind if I wanted to purchase it. I think it was about 1 PM before I got out of the store and probably after 12 PM before I got into the store. I decided that day that I would try the pre order the next year if I wanted to upgrade. I have pre ordered every year since then that I have upgraded.I have never understood why anyone would want to be near an Apple Store during an introduction for a new product.
