Tried applying balance and two gift cards = first gift card declined
Tried applying second gift card before first one = second gift card declined
Tried swapping a third gift card out for the one of the two = third gift card declined

I think that the non-matte screen iPad Pro models are already in the US and will be overnighted on Tuesday for a May 15 home delivery. The nano screen models may come the usual way from China. Building them to order, still manufacturing nano screens or both, maybe? That accounts for delivery date differences.anyone else in the “arrives may 31 - June 7” camp? I ordered nano textured 1 TB on launch day for home delivery.

Apple was recently involved in a class action lawsuit claiming that many Apple gift cards were fraudulently used, unbeknownst to the intended gift card holder, and that Apple knew this was an issue, but did nothing to prevent it.

I often experience it and many others in online forums have too. I have to call Apple to "fix" them before using them.
I don't bother using gift cards or an Apple balance for important stuff. I never know when it's going to hit me and delay things.

1. Placed $1901 Apple Account Balance + $200 CC transaction for $2030 iPad Pro Tuesday afternoon, resulting in $70 Apple Account Balance remaining.
2. Successfully entered my $200 of “declined” Gift Cards Wednesday morning, resulting in my current Apple Account Balance being at $270.
3. Canceled my Apple Balance Account + CC order Thursday evening (because I don’t want to pay $200 on CC now that gift cards clearly were valid) and told to expect the Apple Account Balance to return within 24 hours.
4. Called back Friday evening to follow up, was told to call back Saturday morning.
5. Called back Saturday morning to follow up, was told to call back Saturday night as a “payment authorization release” was triggered Friday evening and takes 24 hours.
6. *Currently* waiting on release to go through by 24 hour mark Saturday night so I can pay for entire $2030 iPad Pro purchase with Apple Account Balance only.
Whew, man, the delays are definitely antagonizing, but I’ve remained respectful despite at least 5 hours on the phone so far. I would love to know if it was Post-Sales that resolved your purchase, or if I should be requesting a different department?
Thanks, yeah, sort of… initially wanted to combine AAB with GC, but the giftcards would get a similar weird message (not bank related, though) and effectively be declined any which way I tried it. So now I got my AAB depleted, the GCs added, and now hoping/waiting to see if I can get a balance greater than $2k by doing this weird buy > redeem > return > rebuy method. I will try tech support when I’m ready to buy a Mac later this year. Anyways, thanks again!I called their regular support line and they created a ticket for "techincal support." (as they termed it). They say 24 hours, but usually within an hour os som I get an email saying try it now, you have 24 hours to place the order.
But that was for declined gift cards and Apple balances that were valid, but wouldn't process (you'd get a weird message, like "the bank couldn't process your payment method") You sound like you have a different problem right now, just having to wait for the account balance to return.'

They are, I ordered Keyboard and iPad Pro, have two tracking numbers from UPS.Some of those shipments could be keyboards or pencils, if you ordered them too.
I was contemplating the 1TB model but I don't think I'll ever utilize 16GB of RAM nor the extra core processor. I certainly wont come close to utilizing the 1TB of storage.
Went with 256 GB 13" Pro.
