Not sure if any of you are planning on getting the WiFi + Cellular, but if you are and you have AT&T you can order from their website right now (just ordered my Space Black 1TB a few minutes ago). I believe T-Mobile and Verizon are waiting until this Friday (May 10th) to start theirs. Just an FYI...

I had $1901 on my Apple ID balance and two $100 gift cards For my $2030 purchase.
Tried applying balance and two gift cards = first gift card declined
Tried applying second gift card before first one = second gift card declined
Tried swapping a third gift card out for the one of the two = third gift card declined
Sales department couldn’t figure it out, transferred me to customer service, they couldn’t figure it out, transferred me to iTunes store, they confirmed gift cards had balances on them and should work. Transferred back to sales, same issue.
Three hours took my patience away and I was forced to use Apple account balance and my own money for the rest.
Are we seriously not allowed to combine over $2,000 of Apple account balance and gift cards? I mean, my next purchase is going to be a Mac and would love to combine Account balance and gift cards.
The next morning, I was able to successfully add all three gift cards to my Apple Account balance.
Anyone experience something like this before and know the solution on how to combine apple ID balance & gift cards for $2,000+ purchases?

I had 3 gift cards I applied to my account and used it and credit card for the iPad. Just waiting for the account balance to be debited.
Traded in my iPad Pro 11 (3rd gen) and 12.9 (5th gen) for the new 11 inch and 13 inch wifi models 256gb space black. Got $895 in credit.

I was looking to order, delivery is now pushed back to June 3rd to June 10th. Best Buy still shows pickup on the May 15th. I may go that route instead.

I had a 12.9" (2020) Pro but dropped it without a case and shattered the display, right in the middle of developing an iPad app, so I had to get the 11" last year to get me by. I had been holding out with 2020 in hopes of getting the OLED model when it finally appeared and had to go and break it a year shy
Of course now I'm not in the middle of working on iPad apps, but I my iPad plays video all day long while I'm working and again at night in bed, and the OLED will be a welcome upgrade.

Based on the insert for the folio for the 13, which arrived today, the iPad 13 is really thin. Noticeably thin, from the 12.9 M2.
I ordered the 11" 256 space black, with the magic keyboard and new pencil, now just waiting (not) patiently for it to say it's shipped. lol. I was going to trade in my M1 IPP but I love that thing so much, and with the trade in only being 385, I just assume keep it as a back up.
Uncertain at this point. I ordered an Otterbox case for my incoming Ipad Pro and it is shipping now via FEDEX from a warehouse in the San Bernardino area in SoCal. Watch the UPS app from Saturday on to see if a shipment is originating in China. It is 17 hours later there than my California time zone. If we notice nothing by Monday, my guess is the items will come from a US warehouse. In my recollection, a new-to-market Apple product I once ordered was shipped overnight from a location in Western Pennsylvania, near Pittsburgh I think. Sigh-time will tell.
If you need a distraction until May 15, there is an interesting piece on the Apple warehouse in Carlisle PA. Search Apple warehouse Carlisle and a reference to theapplepost.com will appear. An article in The Apple Post dated 23 October 2020 shows photos and description of the warehouse. Nerd ambrosia.
Just a thought for folks who migrate via a mac, these are likely shipping with an earlier version of the OS than 17.5 than just went RC. That creates complications for migrations (have to upgrade first, then reset, then migrate), so may want to disable auto-update on the old ipad this week to avoid the problem.
