Curious how already preparing to ship. I got out by 5:05 and still just processing. Not a big deal since it has the 24 date so I am sure it will ship on time. Seems for me every year it stasys it processing until just before it is delivered even though I can track by reference number and I get it on time

The Apple shipping process: Earth's greatest mystery.

I saw the same; however, when Citizens sent the approval email, they removed the early upgrade fee since I already made that 12th month paymen.
I've been on the phone with Citizens and Apple for the last 2 hours. The early upgrade payment is supposed to be the 12th payment for my iPhone 12 Pro. However, I made my 12th payment directly to Citizens at the end of day on Tuesday, 9/14 (like 6:30pm EST). Even though this payment has been processed on Citizens side, Apple's system still only saw that I made 11 payments when I upgraded this morning. Therefore, I got charged the extra $57 as an early upgrade payment. Once I return my iPhone 12 Pro and Apple deems it in good condition, they'll send the early upgrade payment $57 to Citizens who will then do their math and see that I have overpaid and then refund me the $57.

@beach bum I checked my new loan and I also have $57 there. Just wanted to clarify that this early upgrade payment is for the soon to be closed loan, my current iPhone 12 Pro.

TLDR; if you're ever short on payments due to Apple changing iPhone launch dates or you upgraded later, there is no need to pay Citizens directly for your extra payments as Apple will charge you that amount when you're upgrading. The other option is to pay off your 12th payment at least 4 days before the pre-order so that Apple's system is updated by the pre-order day!

I can't believe I just spent like 2 hours getting to the bottom of this for $57!! o_O

You sure? I'm happy for you if that's the case but it's pretty much impossible. Usually stays in Processing for a few days, then goes to Preparing to Ship. Mine does say We're preparing your order but that's not the same as Preparing to Ship.
Usually by later today is when it should go to "PFS". Last year I remember when I pre-ordered the 12 Pro Max, it went PFS later that day on pre-order day.

I talked to Apple yesterday about how the T-mobile rebate will work. They said when you receive your new IP13, you will receive a link to go to T-mobile, put in your phone # and new IMEI number and you will be setup for the credit which I believe will be a service credit spread over either 12 or 24 months.
These "deals" feel like being indentured. You have to work for "the man" until your transportation costs have been worked off. Historically has usually been a much better deal for "the man."

That isn’t the case. I have a $7500 limit and a current balance of $455. My address has not changed since I opened the card when it came out. Something is whacked and it pisses me off.
That was our family last year-all sorts of issues with every phone order. After Apple support did all they could (and days later after phones were already shipping) we finally found the magic credit card that was accepted. I think we tried 6 or 7 different cards. I just wanted to bang my head against the wall in frustration with all of it. Hugs to you, and I hope it gets sorted out quickly.

I really don't care. I have been with T-mobile for almost 20 years and they have always been a great provider. I have had phones from both ATT and Verizon through my work and would never switch to them for my personal phones. If I can get a few bucks off per month by upgrading to a new phone, good deal for me.

My god to everyone and their effing mother who quoted me.

I made a mistake and I posted a reply earlier stating I had forgotten that was an accepted payment method as I had exited iUP last year when I purchased my 12 Pro.

There are over 100 pages of replies here. No one sees most of the posts.

Well they obviously saw that one and my other post wasn’t far behind it.

I made that post at like 5am and someone quoted it not less than 45 minutes ago. So if they wanted to they would have seen my post where I said I had forgotten but no they just had to put their two ¢ in on how wrong I am.

LOL most of these people aren’t even active until preorder time anyways.

looks like there are tons of normal pro phones available for pickup still(in my region at least), but very few max pro phones available.

So I slept through the pre-ordering opening time this morning, and delivery is now mid-October. However I can pick up at the Apple store on the 24th Sept.
Question for someone who has done this pickup before: is it going to be a zoo with long lines on the 24th? Can I pickup later the following week, or do I have to pick up on the 24th?

You don't have to go on the 24th. I believe they hold it for you for a few days.

There will be people ahead of you no matter what your time frame is.

Call the store to confirm that they'll keep it. Some stores sell them if you don't show up

They will hold it for you for 14 days, so you should be fine.

Ordered a Grey 256GB Pro Max via Apple, paid in full with Amex no issues at 5am PST, delivery on 9/24. When I woke up at 7am I ordered my wife's 13 Pro 256 Grey via ATT still delivered 9/24.
