LOL...I say that and I keep checking. I'm not too worried since the pending charge does appear on my bank account, so it will go to PFS later today and hopefully tomorrow or Sunday is when we can start the tracking madness.

A charge has been pending on my Apple Card since I saved my pre-preorder Wednesday night. So I'm refreshing that regularly as well...

I had trouble using my AppleCard for my IUP order so I used a different card to complete the order. Received a confirmation email from Apple for the phone and received an email from Citizens my loan was approved.

I logged into my Citizen's account and added the new loan number. When I tried to change the payment method to my AppleCard I received the message the change method of payment wasn't available.

Later on I saw my alternate card had been charged for the old phone's final payment and for the taxes. Went back to Citizens and found I could change the payment method over to my Apple Card. The next payment wasn't until next month so I felt it was okay to change the card.

The part that makes me nervous is that Citizen’s email states that they will charge the first payment once the phone ships (usually that means label created). I’m worried that if I change it to the Apple Card now, it could fail and stop the shipment.

I pre-ordered the iPhone 13 PM Graphite 256GB; it is set to arrive on 09/24. I did the "get ready for preorder" on the web on Wednesday. I set it for 24/mo no interest on Apple Card (not the IPU). Apple immediately authorized the cost of the iPhone and AppleCare+ and listed it on my Apple Card as an installment plan. They did a separate authorization for taxes. They said if I deleted the transaction or didn't complete the preorder by 09/20 they would release the hold on my Apple Card account. I accessed the store via the app around 4:55 AM (PDT) today and it let me in to complete the pre-order around 5:04 AM (PDT). When I went back in today all I had to do was review and confirm. I didn't do the IPU because I have never kept an iPhone less than 2 years and I pass my old phone to my wife and her phone goes to another member of her family (currently an iPhone 8 Plus). She will be getting my iPhone 11 PM 256GB. If I offer to buy her a new phone she says she prefers just taking my old phone and saving the money. So, it works out well for everyone.
My Process went exactly like yours except ordered the Blue and did my Get Ready to preorder on Tuesday. It was actually quite easy, I am trading in my 11 PM. My previous phone to that was an 8 Plus that I did the process through Verizon and the previous 6 was through Verizon. All I can say is never again. Having the Apple Card has been so much easier and actually the trade in process with Apple has been easy as well having done it with the last phone and an ipad last year. I trade every two years as well but even if I did decide to go to the 14 next year I will have this paid off on the card. I found with my ipad last year with the Apple Card you can go in and pay extra payments on the zero% plans. I like to have things paid off so will pay the phone off quickly. I could not do that with Verizon.

Order the granite 13 pro max. also, went ahead and ordered the dark cherry case to be picked up tomorrow. don't normally use a case but maybe this go around I will.

New leather case compared to old 12PM case. Color is good, camera opening a little bigger.

I will be worried too….don’t do nothing

If you look at the order email from Apple, you'll notice that they already charged you the first month's payment. Better to be safe than sorry, but the next payment isn't until next month and you should be fine if you wanted to change the payment info now.

So I slept through the pre-ordering opening time this morning, and delivery is now mid-October. However I can pick up at the Apple store on the 24th Sept.
Question for someone who has done this pickup before: is it going to be a zoo with long lines on the 24th? Can I pickup later the following week, or do I have to pick up on the 24th?
If you have an appointment to pick up in store, you don't wait in the huge "general public" line of those who just showed up hoping to purchase a phone without a pre-order. When you get there, a store employee will question you about why you're there, and you will be checked in for your appointment. I've done it a bunch times and never had to wait more than maybe 15-20 minutes.

The email says that, but if you check the pending charge on your card statement, it’s not included. The email that followed from Citizen bank states that it’ll charge upon shipment.

Ahh okay. You'd think they would use the card from your initial transaction, but it certainly doesn't hurt to leave things as-is.

i ordered via AUP minutes after orders opened up, citizens said they needed to do some kind of fraud alert, got email about 5 hours later that my loan was approved, that was 3 hours ago and my order still says on hold even though I got approved. I imagine the phone i wanted is LONG gone, anyone else with an approval but order still on hold?
