I really want to see that starlight color in person. I ordered the pink iPad mini, but that starlight was calling to me. Some pictures make it look military base boring beige, but others make it look like a fabulous gold/silver blend.

Yep... Just posted about how I'm agitated that those of us who preordered from stores only get one status between now and when our orders are ready for pickup. If it stays the same for a week, is it really a status? Show us some movement, Apple!

Thanks for the help! Just called AT&T and they wanted me to go into a store. She said didn't the SIM card get shipped with the phone? I said I don't get the phone until Friday, and I understand their not shipping with the phones. Sounds like they want people to use eSIM. I asked for overnight service and she said she can't do that, and I needed to call tech service and maybe they can help with it. So far I've got nothing. Pretty disappointing. I'm on hold to speak with someone in tech dept. I'll report back what happens.
My guess is that there’s millions of the shipments but they can’t update all at once
Just hope they don't try to fold the screens as the phones are passing through.

No, the shipments are in pallets. All of us will get the scan at the same time. You have different tracking time. Your on very early batch.
So now I’m picturing @Limeybastid and @LFC2020 iphones with a Korea scan, opening the Apple box, and finding Samsung phones with torn paper security strips and grubby fingerprints all over the devices. 😂😂😂

I was able to Hold at UPS CC once it left Anchorage, AL on 11/10.
Did not depart Louisville, KY until 9:39PM on 11/12
Picked it up at UPS CC at 9:18AM on 11/13. I think there was 1 other person in there.

I own original Galaxy Fold and Galaxy Fold 2, and all I can say is they are awesome phones. I have 3 lines so I use both latest flagship phones from Apple (iPhone 12 Pro Max) and Fold 2. My honest unbiased opinion is that Apple's iOS is very well optimized on iPhone with its great ecosystem, but believe me, Fold series are super cool that I recommend to everyone to try them.
Whilst I appreciate the shift in tech and it moving that way, it doesn’t really excite me to the point I really want to own one though.
I love both Android and iOS for very different reasons. iOS is to its credit very, very well optimised and is getting better. Android what really let’s it down with some brands is the lack of software support and fixes. Samsung Defoe example has a habit of letting some countries get latest updates sooner leaving other countries behind. Apple releases it to the masses on day one. No questions asked.
I ordered the 128gb option and don't expect to have any regrets. I've had a 64gb XS Max for 3 years and I've only used about 50gb so far. I could probably free up at least 15gb if I wasn't too lazy to go through and get rid of stuff I don't need, so I feel very confident that 128gb is far more than I will use.
I know I'll be missing out on the ProRes format, but honestly...I'm not sure I could tell the difference anyway or would get much use out of it, even though it does sound neat and I'm sure it will be a great option for many people.

That could be the case. Could also be the case with the one phone for my wife I ordered through Verizon. I think carriers supply are already state side as well.

Picking up in store is definitly less stressful since you know exactly when you’re getting it, I guess it takes the fun out of it as well lol
