How do you enter your gift card? I want to preorder but I don’t see an option for gift card?

If anyone can shed some light with a scenario regarding credit/ debit card processing.
I remember many years ago preordering an iPad , on shipping day bank of America declined the authorization even though funds were available. How to do I stop something like this from occuring for this iphone preorder? Since I don't want to restart the order from scratch and lose my spot. I didn't have any issues last year ordering the iphone 12PM but that wasn't a preorder. Thanks.

Most banks allow you to call them so you can inform them of an upcoming purchase.

I think you can only use a gift card when you pay for a phone in full (not upgrade program). Usually you can do the gift card at the last step when you're selecting your payment method.

Thanks for everyone's help! I've been pre-approved too now. For any AT&T customers, did you see this screen? We won't be given physical SIM cards now? I just checked my iPhone 12 Pro and it has a physical SIM card. Hope this doesn't cause any problems! ?

Got a Sierra Blue 256 GB Pro Max pre-approved. I am going to miss Pacific Blue, but man I want that better battery life. It's the one thing I miss from the 11 Pro Max to 12 Pro Max.

this is the first year I’m going for the 13 Mini. If I hate it, worst case it’s one year with this smaller phone. I’m just so tired of heavy phones with my wallet case dragging it down

I do have a question for those that have Verizon... on one particular page, it said that the new iPhone models activate on eSIM and will not arrive with a physical SIM card installed. Sounds like I won't need a physical SIM card in order for the 13 PM to connect to the cellular network. Although, it sounds like I will need to use WiFi to set up?

I'm on Verizon so I'm intrigued to know if this will be the case for me as well… it would be great if it would and then I wouldn't have to worry about doing it later in case I ever travel. Hopefully Verizon can stop finding an excuse to charge a $20 activation fee

I think it’s only if you pay in full. Not sure though. To enter your gift card, you have to go to your account and click on “Apple account balance” then you can put in your gift card there.. that’s what I did. Then you can apply the gift cards and pay the difference. Hope that helps!

Had an 11 Pro Max, and went with the 12 Pro last year. How many are going for the bigger size this time? I'm trying to decide what to choose lol. While I do like the 12 Pro size, I feel like $100 more isn't much.

I know last year, I pre-order sim free and of course it didn’t come with a SIM card. I just used my old sim until I visited a Verizon store to get a 5G SIM card.

Last year I called my bank ahead of time and let them know the amount of my charge and with which merchant. No issues after that.
