So I contacted Apple to be safe. I ordered a Pro set to be delivered on the 24th, been in Prepared To Ship since Saturday early. She said that some orders won't get updated until Thursday and those will be Next Day Air even from China. So like others have told me, I'll reiterate to those asking, if you're still waiting for a tracking number but have a Sept. 24th date, it will still make it on time.
I don't think most people are doubting they'll get their promised launch-day delivery. It would just be nice to see movement on tracking, that's all.

Don’t update to 15.1 if you plan to restore to your new device. Devices are shipping with 15.0.
Since I am in later group for my 13 ProMax 1TB (10/6-10/11) I am still waiting and leaving last 14.x on my 12 ProMax. That way the version of 14.x on the 12 that is backed up on my macbook will be older than the 15.0 on the new phone. I hate the extra process of updating my new phone before I can restore the backup to it (want to play sooner LOL) so I leave til afterwards. I have been playing with and now have the official 15.0 on my iPad Pro. Means I have to wait for watchOS 8 on my trusty ole Apple Watch 4 (7’s still did not excite me enough although longer battery life might have been nice.

Interesting trying to recall what happens, I do not think either opening day deliveries or later deliveries for me (if I did not make opening day) in past 5-6 years ever slipped backwards, they sometimes ship earlier but not the later.

I'm not saying it will happen for these people, who knows, but it can happen because it has, in the past. The Apple distribution system works in mysterious ways.

If only "don't update" was an option!!! lol Always gotta be prepped for whatever Apple breaks and calls "standard"
It is turn of auto update on your iPhone for the time being and wait. I do that and thus I have a newer iOS on new phone and not the extra step of updating the new phone before I can restore my files, apps and settings from old phone backup.

Oh, I'm a software engineer, so it's part of the job. I'm also the one in charge of future proofing, so all the betas normally ends up in my hands, hence the "I wish that was an option". I spent a good amount of time with 15 betas, that I'm just beat to check this next one out. lol

SharePlay is back in the release so far

I'm still living in the land of preparing to ship, optimistic that it will still be delivered on 09/24. But I am enjoying people trying to guess the flight and tracking it on flightaware.
Apple doesn’t give you tracking info until it enters the states. You’ll 99.999% get it on Friday.

Ah that makes sense, my case is just my own phone.

While I am a 10/6 to 10/11 delivery date for my own 13 ProMax 1TB graphite having not secured the order til 6 past hour, I am wondering about the date slips some are seeing for 9/24. Is that as some suggest just a slip because the final plane is now Thursday and it will update, or are there other issues.

Reading news and watching last night I saw the major shipping snafus happening with all the stuff trying to come here for Christmas shopping season. Boats are overloaded, docks in China and US same. Yes phones come by plane but I also heard and read that these same shippers wanting merchandise to make it for Christmas shoppers in US are now taking over some airlines from China. Making it harder for other shippers who use those airlines. I am just speculating at moment but if some airlines are not available for more of a spread out of shipping of the new 13 series that perhaps there is starting to be a small backlog for Apple’s own logistics of how many planes usually available besides just regular UPS (same issue for them of course)

Looking at shipping it seems that over half to two thirds of you are seeing movement out of China now and sometimes into Louisville. While most of the delays and such are normal and seeing shipping not til day or so before as well this slippage of dates certainly could be a logistical problem outside of Apple and UPS control. Hope I am wrong it could affect even my later dates

Just speculation that I hope is totally wrong — my opinion only ;-)

I’m in the 6:05 gang, but I’m not worried. There is still plenty of time to get them to us by 9/24.

We will see some movement soon, but it might be a surprise as it has in the past, meaning no updates to tracking until very close to 9/24.

I might head down to the Winchester, have a pint, what for this to blow over :)

I’m going to be amazed if it arrives on 9/24. Still in PTS and being sent to a very rural destination.

Fascinating couple of conversations with Apple. Question: Why does your status info still show PTS when UPS shows a tracking # and tracking info says you created a shipping label on 9/19, my phone left the warehouse in ZhengZhou and went to another facility in ZhengZhou?? Answers: 1. UPS is wrong. 2. We haven't shipped yet, it's still in the warehouse in China. 3. ummmm.... 4. Mind holding for 2-3 minutes? 20 minutes later, my supervisor said it's still PTS. 5. It's coming from China (Really? No kidding!) 6. I can't do anything with the tracking #, only the order # (because she's not sitting in front of a computer??). 7. Did I answer your all your questions? 8. Are you willing to answer a short survey about your experience?

Good luck and I hope you're on this flight, but it's a good thing that you're not handing out stock tips lol. Your followers would've lost a lot of money this week. Have any iPhones been on Cargolux flights this release?
Looks like no one got a departure scan on this flight. It's a possibility CargoLux has been dropped by Apple as a main Apple's shipping carrier.

It is all speculation and the best estimates. I have never played around with people money and never ever will. That's something you just don't want to mess with in life. Heck I live in Las Vegas, Nevada it is a pure gambling city. This city is runs by gambling. People win and lose all the time. Believe it or not I have not gambled a single $1. I stay away from that, haha!

Also, many people have left China within the last two days. This was all done by speculating and making the best estimates.

I just need you to pray for the 04:50 and 06:05 crew that we see our departure dates soon. Tired of being stuck in China.

I'm just hoping we all get to see our departure scan soon :(

So based on what has happened so far, I believe UPS is doing all the carrying this year...even from China. For those who don't have a scan yet, I think UPS may be operating more segments in. I'll have to check later though; recurrent training at work today.
Is this a confirmation CargoLux has been dropped by Apple this year?
