Woooooo!

Apple wouldn’t tell this many people they were getting it on 9/24 and then not be able to live up to that promise.

Honestly, has anyone ever been told by Apple that would they get it release day, and then they didn’t? I haven’t heard of it if it has.
I did, maybe 4 years ago? But that was due to UPS. I waited like 16 hours and spoke to reps as late as 8 pm and they swore that their drivers would be running as late as they had to to get everyone’s phones delivered. Finally, at like 11 pm, they said, “Yeah, it’s not coming til Monday. We don’t know where it is (!!!)” (It had actually gone BACK to Louisville after coming to Orlando, where I was). it was a total cluster. Every other year has been just fine, though!

Anyone figure out how to get your orders held at the customer center for ups? Looks like they got rid of the option totally. :(
Yes, call the CC center directly and ask them to pick it up there. I seen a few people already be successful and some not. Depends who you talk to

the phone in the 4:50 crew made it out now I’m waiting for the one in the 9/20 4:00 crew to leave china

Same here. I can’t see how a phone still
In China makes it to the east coast by Friday
I am in the same boat with you guys, still preparing to ship as of 6:15am this morning. At least it is only Wednesday it can still be done.

Call your local customer center or general UPS customer service and they’ll be able to process the hold for you.

A few years back when IUP was new the paperwork required had to be done when you ordered, which by the time you completed it, delivery dates had slipped several weeks. There was a large up cry much like now and Apple quietly contacted us and made it right by moving us to release day. I was never able to track my phone until delivery day. I always thought they had a “slush fund“ of phones to handle customer service issues. If they don’t use all of them then they just move delivery dates earlier. If my theory is correct that would explain why you can’t track phone.
Just FYI I was delayed because of the IUP and Apple Card issue. My original delivery window was October 6-11. On Sunday it was changed to Sept 24. All I did was go to the UPS app and the shipment was already there. I didn’t have to do track by reference. Mine is in the air now likely over Canada. Good luck to everyone for a speedy delivery!

This is probably not new news by now but:

iPhone 13 Pro Max 1TB AT&T Sierra Blue with confirmation email at 5:05 PST. I was in the “6:05” batch. UPS has me leaving Alaska at 12:12 AM. AmEx has moved my Apple charge out of Pending state. Apple Store still shows me as PtS.

One year, the 7+ was delayed thanks to Mother Nature and “mechanical “ issues.

Talk about fun times! There was a lot of finger pointing between ups and apple. After numerous calls to UPS and Apple support , UPS delivered on a Saturday.
