I’m tracking 2 separate phone orders. I was able to request both shipments be held for pick up at a UPS CC center.

The hold request changed my estimated delivery for one phone from 9/24 to 9/23. The other estimated delivery date changed from 9/24 to 9/27. Do you think I’ll still get the phones on 9/24?

So odd. I was inatilly charged my “Upgrade Payment” on 9/17. Got notification of it. Now I look at my AMEX online and it isn’t there; I assume the charge “fell off”. My wife and I are in same boat; no charge from 9/17.

The full tax for my 13PM Posted to my AMEX on 9/20, but it was pending for the 3 days prior. My IUP payment has not been charged. I had to switch cards during pre-order due to that IUP/AppleCard glitch. Lucky to still have a launch day phone. Then once I got my new loan number from Citizens One, I logged in, added it to my log-in, and changed payment method back to my Apple Card. Apple/Goldman Sachs let me know in a chat that they are working to refund those of us who had to swap cards - to still get our Daily Cash. Kind of impressed by that - but I also haven't gotten the promised "email" on how that will happen.

I'm sure your charge will come back. Apple wants their money!

Does your app for tracking show it as being held? I can't remember if that's applicable prior to it getting to the distribution center or not.

It would have to refuel in some other location that would not be Russia. Next over is Canada. Customs would still take place at UPS hub, nothing would change except refueling spot. Also Russia might be willing to play nice and let UPS use one of their airports for refueling if needed. Still Russia doesn't seem to like foreign airplanes flying over its airspace .

It depends really. Worldport is HUGE with many planes arriving and departing, so it depends on the workload. Sometimes it happens in about 30 minutes, sometimes it takes a few hours for you to see an update.

The iPhone pallets are small potatoes compared to all the other cargo going in and out of there. I think we tend to exaggerate our phones' importance in the UPS scheme of things. 😀

I once asked my UPS driver if release day iPhones added a lot of work for them. He shrugged and said something like, "Meh, not really."

What does really happen with the clearing customs process? They check name and address or how does that work? Can a package return to China if there's something missing? Thanks! I would like to understand that proccess that it's very important for all of us!

I had the tax and subtotal for iPhone in my pending charges, but nothing there now. My status still says Preparing to Ship, Arrives Fri 24 Sep.

It's been mentioned on here that until it clears customs on KY, it will only show as preparing. After customs, then it's "Shipped".

Right. The person I was replying to was concerned that his was still showing as preparing to ship in the store. I think the lesson is that we shouldn't be obsessing over it like we are
