My phones arrived!! UPS guy knew what I was waiting on ??. Sierra Blue is absolutely beautiful ?. This was my first time pre-ordering, it wasn’t too bad. You all have kept me entertained while impatiently waiting for this day! It’s been a pleasure hanging out with you all. Best wishes and see ya around.

Definitely keeping the Coolwee (just said like oooooweee! lol)

The 3rd is nice, but I will wait for the Velvet Cavier to show up. I’m funny about my sparkle.

The Peel case arrived today as well. It’s going back. I have used similar cases for cheaper. It’s also slippery. I bought the soft shell case so maybe that was the difference.
When I was buying Peel cases, I stayed with the hard case. They were smooth, but had a slight texture so that it wasn’t too slippery. Maybe their quality has changed.

Uggghg, UPS is making me nervous. Saw driver was about a mile away for the entire morning just sitting in one place, then did a couple online meetings (doing the WFH thing still) and when I checked again he's back at the Watertown CC. I hope I'm not going to see some exception popping up soon. With luck he'll be doing a second run, but definitely not arriving in the estimated 11am-3pm window UPS app was saying. >.>
I live in a rather populated area, and there are a lot of businesses nearby. The UPS guy can easily spend 5 or 6 hours in what appears on the map to be the same spot, only 3 miles from my house. But, it’s all businesses very close together. So, it’s not uncommon at all for him to show up past 7pm on some days. My estimated time is between 3:30 and 6:30, but I won’t be surprised if it’s later than that. I’ve even had deliveries as late as 9 pm when it’s very busy, like around the holidays.

Just move the SIM over from your old phone unless you really want to use eSIM.
I may have to if this does not work. I usually activate my personal number on the esim and have my work on the physical sim. Saves me from having to carry two phones around.

Had mine reserved for a UPS CC, check tracking last night, all seemed good. Arrived in LA. Wake up - and it's 2 hours away and CC is closed tomorrow. Still showing delivery today, but it's nowhere near me.

So it was misrouted and I can't pick it up till Monday if it does make it there okay. Fantastic!

Still waiting for delivery, it’s so unpredictable here. Ah, well, at least I’ve gotten some work done today.

I’m not committing to being here next year, but also not committing to skipping it! The notch doesn’t bother me and small design changes don’t matter much given that it’s in a case. But better or faster Wifi and cellular connections, more storage space, and better battery life will almost always get me on board. Better camera and display usually will, too. So we’ll see.

So I've talked to my regular UPS guy (hard to do since they never stop moving or for a chat...). In the morning run they have to deliver all the before 10:30 overnight priorities first even if it looks inefficient as there are other deliveries close by. Once I had a large item, a lamp, being delivered, UPS was next door and still did not deliver. I asked about this too, nosy guy that I am, the reply was sometimes you can't get to everything in the truck as other items are in the way. Still got my lamp the same day but a few hours later. They also have "pickup" requests that they need to complete as well.

It's science, trust me they have spent many millions on operations research for the most effective routes and what gets delivered when.

The UPS truck was within a few hundred feet of my home, but of course it turned in the opposite direction and drove away. 🤣

Been watching the truck on the map all morning. It's going back and forth around the neighborhood with my home in the center, so it's driven past me several times already.

I wonder what the trade in $$ will be for Pro Max 1TB?

I may have to wait until Monday as well. I'm having it held for pickup, but it's not processed and ready yet, apparently. They're open until 9 tonight, so there's still some hope.
