I wasn't able to get the 8am-8:15am pick up slot, was only able to get 8:45-9am. Any chances that if I get there around 8:15ish they'll let me pick it up?
I'm gonna have a busy day that day, have to head into the office after picking up the phone and then to the airport, so every minute counts!

Annoyed that the app didn't let me in until 8:04am this morning and I couldn't get the 8am pick up slot.
I don't think that will be an issue but it all depends on how apple plan to set it up. You may try but if not then you'll just have to wait.
 
Hi all, good to be back! Quick question for people who were here last year. How does the required signature work in these pandemic times? I am not currently working from home and I'm already worried they won't leave it at my door unless I am there to sign.
 
Got my order in at 7:45am CT for 128 GB 13 Pro 128 with Sept 24th delivery through AT&T Premiere! As a bonus they knocked $100 off of the price to make it $448 with 2 year contract instead of $548!

I know FedEx announced they are requiring signatures starting this month but i haven’t experienced that with UPS currently. Hopefully you get UPS shipping!

UPS and Fedex are back ti signatures now. But both have options to request leaving it anyway.

im not sure if it’s still an option, but you can request to leave it at your front door and sign a release for them to do that. Or call to hold at facility so you can pick it up.
 
Nope not yet. I assumed we don’t get charged until we pick up the phone?? I’m on the IUP and chose in store pick up.

It didn't require a signature last year due to the pandemic. I'm not sure if UPS has, but FedEx has already started back with requiring signatures here.

AMAZING job by Apple! I woke up at 4:58am, checked the app, it said "wait a few mins". Checked again at 5am, 5:02am, same thing. Checked at 5:04am, they had my preorder, ordered at 5:05am, back to sleep by 5:07am. Compare to previous years of spending 30 mins - 2 hrs to get my order in!

Whoever invented the pre-preorder system deserves a promotion. AMAZING!!!!!!

You should work that out with your carrier. Strict enforcement is actually up to individual drivers. My neighbor across the hall had ordered something, and she wasn't at home. I received a package from UPS and offered to sign for hers at the same time and hold it for her, but the driver wouldn't let me sign, and he left a notice saying to pick it up at the facility in another borough.

I ordered mine and my wife's pro for store pickup and i got the dreaded work email that i will be out of town for two weeks starting Wednesday. the pickup is under my name, is it possible to get it changed to her name? I tried imessage chat but they're busy. Any insight?
 
Before, you can go to the order details in your app and cancel it, but I checked and that option isn’t there. The only way I can see is to chat with an Apple Rep. I did it that way once no problem.
Out of curiosity was this an IUP cancel?

I agree, the pre-preorder system made the process much smoother.
