Too everyone who said they had trouble trying to use the  card with IUP, well yeah it’s because you can’t use that as a payment for IUP!!

It’s because they offer the 24 months financing with the  card so it’s a conflict of interest with IUP because that program goes through Citizens One.
Nope. You can absolutely use the Apple card for IUP. I have been doing it for the past year.

Whew, got the email from Citizens loan, charge on WF is going through for first last and taxes. I did have to re-enter again, but it worked! Now comes the wait for the UPS info and then the truck!

Got my order in at 5:01 right when I woke up. So easy having pre-preordered! Opened phone and clicked submit order… at least that’s what I remembered with my eyes just opening.

2.5 hours later the last of the 4 phone order charges finally showed up on my Apple Card. The system is playing catch up.

Thanks. For some reason I’m worrying that my IUP will somehow prevent Apple from cancelling my order. I’m not sure if anyone here has any experience with this.
I don’t see why it’d be any different from any other type of order. Surely you’ll have the option to cancel it soon or through a rep

I paid in full. My CC was charged right away.
That's how it typically is for me, too. Still nothing on my end though.

I've never used the monthly payments feature of Apple Card before now, so I'm not quite sure the process.

Gotta say I feel like Apple really bungled this one...

Been on the IUP for years with Apple Card as my payment method. Have also always gotten my order in on preorder day with launch day shipping. But this year, I'm not sure what's going on. My preorder with the Apple Card was declined. I had to use a different card. So there goes my 3% cash back. Then I got an email from Citizens that my loan was declined because my card was declined. The agent on the phone at Citizens could only tell me that the Apple Card was declined, the other order was showing as a decline too, but I was also showing as approved pending order so I should be able to place the order again. She also suggested I NOT use an Apple Card because they were seeing lots of issues with those. Apple, on the other hand, still shows the order on hold. No pending charges on either card.

Honestly? I'm done messing with it. If it goes through, great. If not, I'll just stick with my 12PM 256GB for another year. Pacific Blue is prettier than Sierra Blue anyway. 🤷🏻‍♂️

Got mine 5 minutes ago, nearly 2.5 hours after my order placed. Got in 5 minutes past said 9/24, had to reenter the card info even though verified during pre-pre approval 3 days ago (WTF) and a minute later competed order on the 13 promax 1TB Graphite and viola I was slipped to October 6-11 — of course so much for the pre-preorder process LOL 😂 Wonder why I had to enter the card again — always do and had card ready ? It seemed that was enough to put my order into the two week later status. But at least I know all is well with citizens and my order. Going to be a long two weeks while I use my old 12 ProMax LOL 😆

It is interesting though just noticed on the apple store website that gives more info than apple store iOS app that I went from order placed to preparing order after the citizens letter arrived. So at least I know my order is secure and locked even if the later date. And given previous years experiences the order often refreshes to earlier date from this point on LOL

That's a bummer. Do you have an Apple store near by? Maybe on launch day you could possibly do a walk in and see if you can snag one.
It’s got to be one of the smallest upgrades ever. We both have a 12 Pro Max.

It’s just not worth the effort and stress at this point.

I hope everyone else enjoys their new phones though!

I had the exact same issue - WTF? I had to panic pick a different card.

It also uses the card you enter for recurring payments. I logged into Citizens and added my new loan, then updated the payment method to my Apple Card.

Ordered via apple at 7:05 CST, card charged at 9:50 am :). AppStore couldn’t locate order before the charge means they got the order.

What a journey! I finally gave up and annoyed my wife (also at work) to use her debit card for the order, and guess what…

I’m still locked in for release day delivery! Just need to remember to change the Citizen One payment info once I get the loan number. Whew!
