I did Apple Pay linked to my Chase Visa, pre-order said "Payment not processed", but the order went through and I got an order confirmation. I have not yet seen any authorization in the wallet or on my Chase account for it yet. I have a feeling at some point, I am going to get notified that there was a problem with the payment.

I dont know why I never learn - I often have issues with Apple Pay specifically on the Apple Store and I end up just having to enter the card itself. No proplems with Apple Pay anywhere else -- go figure.

So, just to follow-up -- I did just get two authorizations on my Chase card for the full amounts... 3+ hours after pre-order.. One for the phone and one for the case -- so I guess I'm all set for 9/24... FWIW, I ordered the 128GB 13 Pro in Graphite along with the Sequoia Green leather case. Status also changed to "Processing"

Yea it’s pretty slick looking. I just hate the micro scratches that show up.
I always ordered space gray, except one year when only gold was available through IUP, ugh sorry to the gold folks but I hated that color. Last year I tried the silver and loved it so that's what I got again this year. So beautiful.

Well since for some reason the minute to re-enter my card info that I had verified and entered in the pre-preapproval (after waiting 5 minutes for one of the store apps to open) my 1TB Graphite ProMax 13 went from 9/24 to 10/6-10/11 for delivery. So just in the spirit of waiting with all of you who got varying dates like me I put up a little poll on the dates that people are getting for their 1TB Pro Max Models. I am curious which ones seemed to have more availability in the 4 colors. I would have thought graphite would be least but it sure slipped fast for me LOL. Anyway here is the link if you feel like responding to my little poll, thanks. https://forums.macrumors.com/thread...us-how-limited-available-models-were.2311533/

If you are IUP you needed to prequalify then no card info is needed. You just bought on you AMEX

What the holy hell. I was pre-approved, like normal, for the two phones I have on the iUP on Tuesday. I get through my first order fairly easily. For some reason I had to go copy my Apple Card number from the wallet, but w/e. I next go on to my partner’s phone, go through all the same steps and it tells me there is an issue with my card number...I had just pasted it in the previous order. I went back to the wallet and copied it again, just to be sure. It was kicked back again. After the third time, it came up with a message telling me I wasn’t approved for the iUP order…I was so confused. I have great credit and have been with the program for 3 years. I went back to “For you” page on the app and my pre-order was sitting there “Complete your pre-order.” I ran through it, used a different card, and it was completed with release day shipping. I don’t know why my Apple Card gave me an issue; I barely carry a balance. I can’t imagine it had anything to do with already having an iUP payment on it because I‘ve had both phones on my Apple Card this past year. Anyone have any ideas? Think it was just a glitch?
I had the same issue and kept retrying to use my Apple card...by the time I went and got another card my shipment slipped to Oct 6-11...complete mess! I hope that my delivery improves...Oct 4 is my birthday so it would be nice to get it by then!

I do not know how to make one, but this Apple Card issue would make a good poll.

Thank you! Appreciate you. Been doing this pre-ordering since iPhone 3G days. First, iPhone was owned in 2008. I was in high school and super broke. Since 2008 I have managed to upgrade every single year without skipping. Life is too short and Time flies.

Order switched to processing about 3 hours after purchase. Paid in full and seems to be moving slower than the people on the IUP. Not that it matters, just posting DP for those that are worried

Best I can tell the Apple Card issues are 1 of two things. Either you don’t have enough available credit on the card (you must have more available than the purchase price even if doing installments) or you have your billing address wrong.
Neither of those things are the case for me. I have tons of available credit, my address is correct, and I use the card daily with no problems. There are far too many of us that had the exact same issue with the exact same card for it to be anything other than some sort of glitch on apple's part.

Like may others, my Apple Card would not work. I went to the Citizens One website after the order and this was on their main page. I contacted their customer service and was told that there is a problem with their iPhone order approval system and to keep trying. That was all they could offer. I had already used a different card. It was NOT the fault of people doing something wrong during the pre-approval and order process.
